My favorite shooting spot looking like a dump this weekend. Hundreds of fresh shotgun shells scattered across most of the firing area. I bagged up a full trash bag of em and there was still another two full bags worth laying around. There are large dumpsters provided at the entrance for your trash people. The sad day will come soon when they shut it down...

How far can you get out and what general location is this? I'd be down for a shooting/cleanup session! Always looking for somewhere to shoot some distance and always willing to clean up. Bring a few 30 gallon construction trash bags.

Looks like a beautiful spot to shoot. Sucks to see that almost nowhere is immune. : /

Anyone wanna trade Glock upper assemblies? I have a G40 mos and G17 that I want to convert to a G20 and G34.

The G17 comes with a S3F Glock 17 TiN threaded barrel and the OEM barrel.

I'm starting to run low on my .40 S&W. What do you guys and gals recommend for a good online source. I used to get my hookup in California with my brother's LEO discount, but now I'm stranded. Thanks in advance.

SGAmmo.com and TargetSportsUSA.com are both reliable and reasonably priced. I'm on the mailing list for both and they aren't overly aggressive with spam, 1 or 2 emails a week. They both have reasonable shipping. SGAmmo calculated shipping by weight/size so frequently if you are buying a case you can have a couple boxes of misc 'want to try it' stuff thrown in at their online prices without changing your shipping.

If you are going to buy a bunch or have friends who want in on a great deal consider the targetsportsusa annual membership. I think it breaks even at about $1400 spent in a year(? I did the math once but don't remember).

There might be cheaper sources (try AmmoSeek) but these two are consistently reliable and usually so close to the best prices that I can't justify giving my info to yet another site just to save $2. *ninja edit*: I've also had very good luck with the packaging being very generic

Rather than going to a specific online retailer and deeming one as "cheapest"...I always go to one of the sites that scrapes these retailers and displays them in order. Ammograb.com is a good one.

I use ammoseek. Just make sure to calculate shipping before making your choice. Some of them screw you on shipping costs. I probably order from SGammo more than anywhere else though.

Me four. I'm kind of burnt out on building ARs at the moment and I've been thinking a long distance bolt action would be next. Just don't know of any place near me to shoot it over 200 yards.

Anyone have experience with 80% AR lowers? Happy with how it turned out/performs?

I helped a friend with one a few years ago using the cheapest option...a commercially available jig and hand drill. We concluded that you need a decent drill press to make it nice and to make it really nice, you need one of those mini CNCs like the ghost gunner which are a lot, about $1k.

I've similar remarks that a drill press and a small router make things run smoother.

Get a good quality jig kit for a router. Take your time and go slow.
With the right kit, you would have a hard time telling it was done by hand.

With the router, takes about an hour per lower.
