I think he charged me like 5 bucks, I had to have that bolt. The guy was such a dick, kept ignoring me, taking breaks, asked me to leave and come back later, making fun of me for bringing tools.

Here is that glass mount I mentioned yesterday. If you look hard through the glass you can see the other part on the inside.

It's on there Solid, there are times that I believe they drilled a hole through the glass to attach both parts, if not it is super epoxy!

I would have replaced the rear window! Though you could mount a backup camera to that thing...

It used to have a big antenna on the outside and coaxial cable run thru the headliner and into the dash. I removed everything but those 2 pieces on the rear glass.

Yeah he was, I have no idea what sort of equipment he had mounted in the car, thankfully he drilled no holes in anything!

What I'm wondering is what possessed him to retrofit to R134a when the car was five years old! R-12 was still readily available then!

It was either him or my Ex-Fiance' that did that, maybe the cost was different or something

Why would your ex-fiancé get it converted?

If you remember I mentioned that one time I was busy and asked her to run my car to town to get the AC charged. If it wasn't the previous owner then that would have been the only other time it could have happened.

That's a good question, probably somewhere in the 03-06 timeframe. I do recall her telling me the cost was around $150 after she came back.

That makes sense, but $150 seems a bit low for a retrofit! A/C was “walk-in freezer” cold when you bought the car?

It was a decent AC System, had no complaints. My 2002 Mustang GT was polar ice cap cold, I had to have the fan on the lowest setting and then adjust the temperature setting towards warm.

I sold it to buy a Cavalier for my Ex-Fiance so she had a new car to take to school, hate myself today for wasting that money.
