I am still doing those, and right in the middle of setting up an Etsy shop to handle some of those as they can be linked to a 3D printing service to fulfill orders for me. It would completely take me out of the loop and bring costs down as a result.

Some designs I need to ship myself (they need o-rings, zip ties, etc ...), so I am looking into options to get those prices closer to earth as well. This, of course ... is if those even sell well enough to bother.

I am definitely interested in one of the last delrin knobs that will be produced!

What is the overall height of the V2 hybrid MT knob? (Not counting the boot collar.) I might have missed the dimension specs somewhere.

The knob height and thread depth are identical to the OEM knob for the hybrids. For completion's sake ... solid knobs have about 1/4" shallower thread depth, due to the zeroing plug for the shims, so those sit a touch higher.

Can't seem to find the weights listed in this giant thread. Doh.

Can someone tell me what a v2 delrin MT knob weighs?

    Thanks.

Cool, so now they become Limited Edition knobs (did you ever settle on the company name?)...which would make my Ti knob a 1 of a kind, as the ONLY one signed by the artist...should take a pic.

When you see it on The Antique Road show in 30yrs you'll recognize it.

Perhaps. You also have the only V1 Ti.

If demand comes back I may go at it again, but we've reached a point to where I finally can't fill a sufficient batch size. I really can't believe it took this long.

Didnt know was only Ti V1...knew I was the 1st Ti

Why not just go back to Commissioned ? I thought I had a pic of the Sig in our convo thread when we were building mine (I dont) but it took me down the lane of memories of seeing it built step by step, literally seeing it thru the pics you sent almost daily. It was like watching its inception from weaving of ideas...no confluence whatsoever back then.

Hells Bells, Ima gonna let a secret out here even tho you asked me to keep it hush...photo evidence of the prototype Delrin Insert...

That's pretty awesome though. It was a good run. Now you can do exclusive custom orders and charge a premium! :D

Dude, that is cutting edge tech you are sharing.

Handling communication for a neverending (at the time) stream of 10-15 differing orders put me on the fast track to couples counseling. My "work ethic" doesn't know how to handle things in moderation.

That, and I made about 70 knobs over the summer to clean out materials inventory. Can't very well restock that on 4 potential orders. For every waitlist I make, the return rate is about 20-30%.

Spacers are pretty hot right now, so I will start there.

I have 6 left, but I pulled them from here and put them on Etsy. So few people actually read the first post on here, and after getting the same questions over and over again I gave in. Forum format really is a shit platform for selling.

The common end result of those conversations goes something like ...

    https://i.imgur.com/Br00TCn.mp4

Design work involved, fixturing, prototyping, force testing(if applicable), make a few backups just in case I mess up.

Engraving programs need to be redone in most cases.

Comes to a hefty bill (you know this, just ranting).

I am flattered that folks think I can knock anything out in my sleep, but new things are very costly and very few want to pay the bill.

What is that Ronnie Coleman quote?

"Everyone wanna be big, but nobody wants to lift the heavy weight! YEAHHHHHHBUDDAY!!"

Just put my new Ti w knurled Delrin in, my new favorite mod. This thing is incredible quality, and the weight is awesome (437 grams before putting it on)! MUCH better than the Pro shifter. And the install is super easy. Thanks so much! If anyone is on the fence about this, don’t be. You won’t regret it after you get it in your hands!

So difficult, nee impossible, to get the real shine from a Ti knob on camera...never does it justice

Plus the sun reflection was rough, so the pics are HDR, which mutes the brilliance. Doesn’t do it justice.
