1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Yeah man me too. I think we're kinda along the same trail or route or whatever, I'm just further along on it by time lolol
Yeah it's great because I like good food, home food, I do eat out but it's cause I hate making food for just myself, but I'm learning to do it more. And helps big time since little brother moved in. That oldest sibling mindset kicks in and so I make food and keep stuff kinda stocked you know.
Shoot, but anyway the pressure cookers do a roast in like 45 min to an hour while crock pot was like 6+ hours I think. And it's like a 3-4 days worth of dinners/meals lol and home cooked food just tastes so good

 

Ah yeah, I've got 2 younger brothers.

One looks up to me more than the other, but I love'm both just the same.

Heck I'd even invite one to move in with me had I picked a 2 bedroom lol he declined when I offered him a spot at my house though "too far"

Back to food though, yes home made all day long. At work we always eat out; do that for several years and the cost adds up a lot when you think about it

This Wednesday I'm going to take a nice scenic drive or hike; haven't done anything this year other than go to Hollister Hills a few times.

Just looked at a pic I took last year;



These are redwoods, and what's unique about this is that the surrounding trees are clones. Apparently from one, whether it split or something....others grew from it.

The SO and I had went on that hike and we snapped several pics. What's funny is, I accidentally took that pic above and she was jealous cause apparently that's the photo everyone tries to take but can't

Here's a quick weekend backpacking trip the SO and I did...sorry for all the pics

Starts inland, and it's about 22 miles roundtrip to the coast but not before having to climb -



Here you can see it's off in the distance -





Every time the light poked through, I'd try to see if I can picture the ocean -



Coastline isn't too far! Just need to head down those hills to the left...you can see the trails left behind -



If I wanted to get to the water sooner, I could've just fallen off the cliff -

I didn't snap too many afterward since the sun was setting and we still had about a mile before our campsite.
