    My favorite part of this whole alternate reality thread is that post #2 was probably the best answer even on a lease because if you put the hole through the tailgate cap, the replacement part would be about $90 when it's time to turn in the lease. Small price to pay to avoid the shame this thread has produced. I wish you luck OP, the world can be a tough place.
