I've loved these since they came out. If I had the cash to buy a fun weekend toy I'd definitely give one a serious look. Probably the 3.8L track model. Sure a lot of mod potential out of the 2.0T but the V6's on them sound great with exhaust and I wouldn't be going crazy with modding anyways. I wonder how long the V6 will be relevant in these though I'd be surprised if the version of the 2.0T that's in the new Sonata doesn't find it's way to the Genesis. That makes 274hp which would be close enough to the V6's 306 or so that it wouldn't make sense having both.

I hear they're working on a 5.0L V8 for other applications. Would be interesting if the next gen got the 274hp 2.0T as the base engine and the 5.0 as the next up.

Cars don't have gender; people have gender (typically). You can paint and accessorize it to make it look masculine or feminine, but the car itself doesn't have gender to me.

That Hyundai is nice car from what I've read. The exhaust in the video sounds like crap to me, but some people like that backfiring and burbling noise.

i test drove one of those when my old hyundai (now gone) was getting fixed (surprise suprise). those bad boys are quick! I wouldn't buy one just because they are hyundai. I have never had any luck with Hyundai so I dont feel the need to support them. Id rather have (like said above) a G35

Interesting comparison. $25k sports coupe vs $50k LS3 powered sedan.

Where can't an off road go? Besides a parking garage with an extra low clearance.

Not shittin on xrunners b/c I like them too...just curious about these other places you're talking about that an off road can't go in.

OK, y'all dragged me into this one......We paid 5 down and traded in a 2007 v6 RAV4 with over 50k on it that we were upside down on by 11k and saved 400 a month on monthly payments for the wife to drive her 2.0T. Hey, it's rear wheel drive. How many 22k rear wheel drive turbo coupes are there out there nowadays? with 7yr/100k warranty? 25 mpg? that's 400.00 a month cheaper than a 3 yr old SUV? Call it what you will but I'm callin it Win Fuckin Win on top of Win for me. Yeah, the turbo lag sucks a bit but other than the shitty Potenza tires, it's more than OK...for her. I much prefer the truck & have my crazywagon P5 to mod on and tinker with so yeah, it's a perfect "chick" car that I don't mind sportin around in on occasion...at least it isn't some chick color like yellow, lol. Here, feast on this "chick" action...........

I think this is the first hybrid that doesn't look like garbage. I have no idea it is with designers to make them look douche. No offense to prius owners, but no one bought a prius cuz it stylist. I have no idea the crz was hybrid and 6 speed manual!!!! About time they started making small cars again to make driving a long way to work fun. I'd rather drive my truck but don't want to put 30K a year on a LT truck.

T@co_Pr3runn3r, I can't get over that price for a genesis. Yours is def a "chick" car. It looks like a sky bluish silver from the photos. Paint color has alot to do with this car, but still drive it if in your situation.

It's not places you can't go.... it's just things you can't do.... not trying to bash on the 4x4 guys but we can use our truck for what it's made for everyday because it's made for the streets.... as far as you guys go the main purpose is to off road..... you see what I mean?.... We were made to go fast and corner well.... So everyday we have the opportunity to use it since well the streets is our home.... for you guys home is off road.... it's not every day you commute going over boulders and mountain trails...

Agree about the CR-Z..........Disagree about the GC tho, not mine...wife's, lol. Color was lesser of evils and only base they had and it wasn't silver. All 3 of our rides were silver until now, lol. IMO, it was a base model 2.0T 4cyl toward the end of 2010 model yr before the 2011s were coming out plus a win from Toyota to get RAV4 on trade that got us the price. It was towards 25 with TT&L and the rest of the blah, blah, blah. We've had it now for about 3 months. The best thing about it to me is not paying 800 a month on any car. With the upside down crap and our down payment, we got montly down in the upper 300s with no upside down on this one FTMFW!.......and recently freed up about 250 a month on the P5 and got me a clear title for that woohoo, over 1g a month down to 3 sumpin sumpin a month. Great shit IMO! Can you say TACO MODMONEY?!?!

haha forgot to sub in "wife car" in there somewhere with the reply. For your explanation about financing all I understood was you got the car FTMFW and saving yourself 7 bills a month. Only reason why I'm still holding back on keeping the "slamry" (my lowered camry). It's paid off, insurance is dirt cheap and still rolling great with 240K+ miles. That allows me to fuel TACOMODS.
