...he at least has decent taste in trucks. He just announced a new album Southside (four years after his first) releasing this April.

Hey just noticed you’re in the Seattle region too OP! I happen to like Sam Hunt a lot, he was the person that kinda got me into the modern day country music scene. I replayed his songs so often in the past to the point where I knew the lines to every song of his, but liking his new releases now too

Yeah his first album was super playable. I know some folks who are dismissive saying it isn't real country but I'd argue that Sam Hunt and on the opposite end, artists like Sturgill Simpson, have done a lot more to bring new blood into country music. When you listen to terrestrial country radio, it's the same tired themes, chords, lyrics, and beats reconstituted by many of the mainstream artists. Did you like the new single from Southside?

Sam Hunt slaps. I don’t consider him “traditional country”. But more “pop country”. Puts on a solid show too.

sturgil Simpson’s sound and fury is hard as fuck. I’ve listened to that album 20+ times and watched his Netflix multiple times.

shits dope as fuck. The anime follows his music. So there’s no voice actors or sound other than his soundtracks played over the anime. The director of cowboy bepop made the anime.
