    I always just put red loctite on mine and used a torque wrench and didnt worry about it. Red because I used blue once and I randomly found a bolt lose.

    Thats what I did two years ago and they didnt move at all, butI figure might as well put new ones on. I will definitely still use red loctite.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Little more progress being made... camshaft pulley tool arrived last night. So we pulled them today, got the final cover off, removed the cam seals and replaced. Removed water pump, and now @RobertsT4R is out there cleaning everything he can get to with all the covers removed.

    Water pump, thermostat, timing cover #3, cam pulleys, Ider pulley #1 and #2... and hydraulic tensioner are installed (hydraulic tensioner was a pain in the f'n ass, as always)

    Be sure to twist them wires really, really tight so you know they will hold good. :D

    I use blue but I also mark them with a paint pen so I can see at a glance whether they have moved/loosend. Never have. Third set using this method.

    Yeah the paint pen method is the best, i finally found all my art supplies from college and went through and marked my bolts. Way easier than torquing em down all over again. I figured drill some holes and add wires like ryan suggested too lol

    I put a socket over it and hammered them out, got the new ones in the same way

    Dont go too hard on the new bearings of course, a little dry lube on them and they tap right in

    There's only snap rings on the outside of the bearing on both sides of it

    Pull those off then use the socket/hammer method

    There should be, but the snap rings like to fall apart once you push the bearing way too far.

    Press would be the best if you have one.

    Both sides on Kings, and every other shock I've worked on.

    No, I wouldn't do that.

    I'm just not seeing a snap ring on your picture, and saying sometime they fall apart, especially if you've pushed your bearing way past where you should have.

    Did you look at the other side? You really only need to take one off to press the bearing out.
