The one that ended up being 39k? So lets say 50k for the truck then which is a larger margin of error. Still insane specs for the price of a 2020

I thought it was $50k, in order to get one within a reasonable amount of time.. paid up front.

Nah that was years ago. Now you can get them easily for about 39k new.

There was actually a time in CA that I considered getting one because the gov was giving a rebate if you purchased an electric vehicle, but I decided against it due to range. When I get an electric commuter, I want at least 400 miles and I couldn't afford anymore than 250 miles at the time.

250 is solid for every day, but I often drive 100+ one way and didn't want to risk it or have to wait for a supercharger. Interested to see what kind of advancements we see there in the path of the 600+ range in the Roadster.

Tesla will end up going down as the next Worldcom, Enron etc

I'm not buying any of the nonsense that the company or the bulls seems to be selling.

I would not be surprised to see a large decline coming up as this valuation spike is insane, but I don't personally worry about TSLA being involved with Fraud right now. Would be absolutely fascinating though. I studied all of the major frauds such as the ones you listed above. Extremely interesting shit.

Everyone might want to look into TTD.
I bought at 190 and my sell order for 290 just executed so I'm sure it's about to go through the roof

Also good to note that a lot of market changes today are somewhat impacted by SOTU tonight. Uncertainty drives changes that aren't necessarily logical.

I didn't sell all, but I sold some. Hedging against decline as it's pretty likely, but still see it as a good long time hold so I'm not super concerned.

I'm not a very active trader though. It takes something weird like this to get me involved.

I'm also nowhere near retirement so that helps in being a bit more risky.

EDIT: And today has shown that that was a good move lol.

seems like a classic pump and dump or short squeeze. I feel bad for anyone that bought on that hell of a run up. Reminds me of bitcoin.

I have about 40k I want to invest but not in the market....i don’t have any debt except my mortgage. I live in a high cost of living area so I don’t think 40k in real estate will get me far. Anyone have any suggestions on what i should do with it?

Personally, with that amount i’d look into precious metals such as gold and silver.

I’ve started buying silver here and there as I have a spare $20 because silver and gold has a history of being stable, theoretically silver is also a good commodity for prepper/SHTF situations.

If you have a good rate on the mortgage and can make more on average in the market, it's a better move to invest it. Obviously depends on the situation and the person's risk aversion.

I agree. I recently took out a mortgage at a fixed rate of 2.99% with $0 down (VA loan). It would be dumb for me to put an extra penny towards that loan when I could earn more in just about any market vehicle. If his mortgage interest rate is high though it may make sense. Depends on every person's unique situation.

I bought my old Toyota 86 with 0 down, 0 interest. When we got paid out at work, a lot of my friends paid off their car loans and were confused why I didn't do the same haha. Free money man.
