What kind of back protection do you guys use? I’m ordering my bike tomorrow, so it’s now finally time to order myself a jacket and back protection now.

And ankle protection. I decided to skip those skate shoes that I posted in here a while ago. Today I ordered some high top Reebok  . At least they will be better than my Converses. Ive been waiting to throw them away.

    This:

    And this:

are on my list too. Others will tell me that I need more protection, but Im not on a sportbike anymore. Oh, and get a full face helmet too (one that fits your budget)

I actually found my red wing boots last night. They go just above my ankle bone thing. Also have the safety toe, so I’ll most likely be using those. Already have a helmet (Shoei RF1200).
I was looking at getting one of those Kevlar flannels as well. I want to get a back insert though too. My pops is going to buy me one of those airbag vests as well for when I start commuting.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
This is one of my jackets. Wrecked in it x3 hard, maybe medium hits, then several deflections off trees.
Love this one, the badlands and Dakar.
    Dakar is probably my favorite.

Little too dual sporty for me. The Dakar looks the best though. These damn jacket sizes all suck for me. I’m tall and skinny so I need the widths of the size large, but I need the lengths of the xl-2xl

I like the ADV Rally the best.. but still too dual sporty for me.

Your options will really depend on what the shirt/jacket is designed to fit. I use an Alpinestars Nucleon insert in one of my jackets. It’s a semi-rigid CE2 protector, my only complaint is if it’s cold and I didn't hang the jacket the protector will take a weird bent shape. It’s not the most comfortable until my body heat warms it back up enough to flex with my back as I move. If the shirt/jacket doesn’t have a slot for a back insert there are a few options for a backpack/harness style protector you wear underneath it.

Also, the Klim Indiction jackets are a pretty decent all around style. Not too sport bikey, not to adventurey, relaxed enough they’d fit in on most cruisers.

I absolutely enjoy mine. Never had a 2 stroke before but the tpi makes it so easy

I grew up riding 2 strokes. I remember me and my bro were talking about it saying that we would never ride 4 strokes years later we both ride 4 strokes. He has the ktm 530exc I believe that's what it is.
Also my niece is soon to be professional mx rider Haha

When this wr450 is paid off I plan on buying a adv bike of some sort. That's the plan at least. I need to get the front fork seals replaced on my cbr1000rr I missed out on a lot of great riding last summer.

So the person I’ve been working with at the Chicago dealer is out today, and she was supposed to have someone else contact me to send me the paperwork to send to me today but I haven’t gotten anything and I’m really sad. I don’t wanna wait till tomorrow to order :annoyed:

    They’re 2 hours ahead lol.
Nah, it’s not a huge deal. I’m just impatient and want to order it though
Fuck. No. They finally stopped calling and texting me though. For now.
