I get off work at 0600 Friday morning on the 28th. I'd prefer to leave straight from work and meet you if possible. If not, we can figure something else out

 

Bump(er), someone buy this thing so I can get some tires! Also, adding some CB stuff. I didn't know what I was getting into and I never used it on the trip I brought it on. $40 takes the lot, but no shipping because of the whip antennae.

 

Ill be on day shift that day. What side of Houston are you located? Maybe we can meet before the 28th?

 

That's a great price... Have the same setup hooked up to a 6' and hanging out on my ceiling. Awesome that it can be converted to an in car and portable setup.

 

I'll be coming from Alvin so south. I work nights and I'm off most Sundays and Mondays

How did you rig it up there?

 

Bump.

 

Let's see, I ran all the wiring in the roof, sandwiched the cable in between the top center plastic and ran it out.

I ran some self retracting guides to retract the cable. I drilled a hole in the side of the upper center plastic to run the retracting cable and left the mechanism inside and hidden. I also ran another ratcheting system to the top of the cb unit to keep it up on the ceiling.

After that, I have some magnets installed on the clip of the cb and have one sandwiched right where it sits on the headliner.

All in all it took some brainstorming where to mount it as I already have a ham radio taking up some space in the center console.
