Anyone used the icon 3/4” Drive breaker bar yet?

 

I haven't, but I'm sure it'd be ok. It has the "proper" yoke type end on the handle like a breaker bar should. I have a similar design 3/8 x ~18" long Pittsburg breaker bar and it's fine. For 3/4 I have an SK, but I caught it on sale for ~$90

 

Thinking about picking that up at some point this year.

For the person who asked about a vertical bandsaw, if you're willing to do QA it's great for the price. Had one for over seven years until I upgraded to a Laguna on Black Friday. Still have their lathe, a clone of the Jet 1236.

Needing a small air compressor..

Mainly for blowing off work bench/ blow out dirt on tools and possibly airing up a tire or 2. I saw that HF has a new fortress 6 gal pretty cheap. Anyone have a thought or use fortress brand? I know it will be noisy but looking for something portable. I no nothing really about compressors but not looking to spend a lot because I won’t be using very often.

I hear good things. There was some talk about them several pages back. Everyone that had one (and chimed in) had positive reviews. The “stupid quiet” ones aren’t falsely advertised either.

 

I have the little 1 gallon one. Stupid quiet. Works great for brad nailer, tires, etc. Not so great for blowing things off. It'll blow for 30 secs or so before I've spent the tank and it needs to recharge. If I were to buy again I'd probably get the 2 gallon, my needs don't really ever need more air than that.

 

Another option for you is to go with a cordless 20v version from one of the more well know companies like Dewalt or Milwaukee. You could buy the charger, batteries, portable inflator and a small blower for about the same or less than a compressor and it might offer more versatility and better fit your specific needs. Dewalt makes a good hand held blower. I have a bunch of Ryobi tools that work well and are quite a bit less expensive. Ryobi makes a good hand held inflator that is a bit slow but still does the job and they have a hand held blower that puts out 160mph. Food for thought.

 

I bought a Kobalt Quiet Tech 2g compressor last year and it is excellent. Was just a couple bucks more than the HF version and had a better warranty.
