I get less than that with my similar sized trailer :anonymous:

I'm usually towing in the mountains though. I also don't baby it, set the cruise at 70 and make some time!

I saw a pretty slick set up (not one I'm sure I'd want to own), it was a tractor with the front with the front of the rear axles removed, a SMART car on the truck and a 5th wheel in tow.

Pretty cool but there's some real serious dough in that setup. I think that trailer alone is in the $200k range.

I mean I’m sure it’s figured out but how do you get the car down...?

that’s the kind of setup for a mobile job or professional athlete like horse riding or gymnasts that don’t earn enough for private planes everywhere like MLB.

One had ramps and a winch, another one I saw had a flat bed sort of thing like a wrecker to motorcycles on and off.

I'd think it would be alot easier to just have a nice diesel pusher pulling a trailer with a car in/on it!

I'd be happy with a mid-sized (or small compared to some of the monsters I've seen) 5th wheel and a diesel 3/4 or 1 ton SRW truck. Once you're at the campground, you have a regular truck to drive around, no car to load or tie down.

You're all aiming too low...There is an RV show on the Travel Channel that deals with $1 to $2 million dollar RV's. It's retired americans with shitloads of money and nothing to spend it on...Queued up to the most amazing spot... https://youtu.be/2IBPJL_Xht0?t=272

If it doesn’t have a tag axle in the back, then the RV isn’t ritzy enough!

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Hells yeah! I'm actually in the process of getting some serious maintenance done (thank you tax refund :spending:), to include installing an Aussie locker in the front. I took the Taco on an ENH run up in my area and beat the snot out of it, and now I'm catching up on 150k maintenance.

The only reason I camp is to fish so whatever method it is I need to tow my boat. I'd do a truck bed camper personally but yeah, I also don't have any kids and none of the women I've been with have ever liked to fish so it would likely be a solo setup.

As I grow older I have basically given up on most my camping and just get cabins or houses. Camping is kinda time intensive and that draws valuable fishing time.

    Morning all!

Probably would depend on where you were. I mean, I can definitely see the appeal of pulling into your campsite, setting your jacks, and being set up. But I definitely don't see the appeal of doing it in a big field with 100 other RV's.
