How does he/she drink the water without knocking over that dish?

 

I buried the dish in the substrate so it's mostly level. I do that with my larger spiders and they'll often dig the dish up and move it all over the place.

 

I didn't like that answer.....why am I here?

 

Lol it's hilarious when they move the water dish around. Here's one where they dug under the dish and filled it with the dirt.

 

They are probably bored. You should let them all out for an hour so they can play with each other.

 

If I did that I'd have the tarantula version of the Royal Rumble or Highlander. "There can only be 1."

I'm excited to see the blues and yellows of that spider to start coming through.

 

“She” being arboreal is always hanging around on the sides of her enclosure. Even under the tips of her legs have like a velvety blue look.

 

Some tarantulas species, including some that aren't even brightly colored, have iridescent patches on the bottom of their front legs that shine bright green or blue when light hits them. Looks wicked when they are in threat posture. I'll try to get a pic of one of mine.

 

Here's a decent example from my "Purple Tree Spider." The spider's body is dark purple/brown, maybe indigo, but you can see the underside of the front legs shining greenish from the flash on my phone.
