I had a 66 yellow Chevelle back in the 70's. I put a 302 out of a 69 Z-28 into the car after boring 30 over with 12.5 pistons and a Crane cam with 285/274 lift. I don't remember the cam duration but it something like 274. The engine produced 505 horsepower at 7400 rpm and redlined at 8200. I had the block work done at a machine shop but built the engine myself.

These old cars are beautiful and getting rare. Yours is in exceptional condition.

I have a 71 Elk parts car here in my yard. Let me know if you need something.

I have been looking into that same setup for my 72 when I finally put her back on the road. Is that 502 stock or have you been in it? I ran my crate 454 for a while but then..........I wanted more. So I am now tossing around the idea of this fuel injection. Did you run a carb on it first (whcih card) or just went straight to the F.A.S.T. setup? If so hows the difference?

It's a stock ZZ502, I sold the carb and went straight for the ez-efi. It's a good set up so far, but I think the carb would have been a lot easier to figure out, I am not a mechanic
