    Hey all,

Just wanted to share my new acquisition following the theft of ny beloved 18! Insurance wrote it off just before they found it in a shipping container at a popular port in Canada.

Happy to have it. Feels a bit surreal, not incredibly exciting, but I hope the excitement builds over time.

    Cheers!

Congratulations on you new truck! Where did you buy it? Did you get the same setup? Do you notice any differences compared to your '18?
Now that they have found your old one in Montreal (I presume), do you have access to it? Can you retrieve your personal belongings. Did you have any mods on the old one? I am curious how does that works.

Sure! I bought it from the same location as last time.

I got the same set up, only thing I changed was went from a hard tonneau to soft due to personal preference. The hard top was heavy and kind of a pain since I had to remove it from time to time. I kept my after market roof racks as they weren't on the truck. Will wait till spring to try out the fit.

I've had it for less than 24hrs, but off the top this is what I've noticed. Power driver seat, delete drivers side dash cubby, new brake light casings?, new screen with poorer resolution with Apple/Android (haven't set it up yet), delete storage on drivers side in bed of truck (replaced with spot for bed light that isn't standard on TRD OR? stupid), transmission is more responsive, offgassing is moderate to severe (driving with windows cracked open) and the SOS button (haven't looked into it). Oh and a stolen vehicle locator.

Insurance said they'd make any contents available and then made mention of the potential for contamination of fentanyl, sooooo, not to sure if I even want to have them back. I never followed up to see if anything was still in the truck.

Neat thing is that since the truck was protected by Global Eye, they will pay $4K since it was stolen and declared a loss. So that's over and above what I got back from insurance. Silver lining? New truck, money in my pocket. Can complain too much I guess. We'll see when my insurance is up for renewal, hahaha.

I’ve got the 2019 TRD OR same color. I dig the blackness.

That’s a very nice truck, but I would have wanted my old truck back if the thieves didn’t mess it up too bad!

For sure. And then sometimes when offered a new truck with some improvements, cash in your pocket, you just have to go for it and not look back!

Though you said your truck is an OR, but in the picture it seems to have base steel wheels?

They're winters. Dealer threw them in. Fender flares indicate it's TRD OR.

Having the extra steel wheels is a bonus when you live in snow country. Now you can put some good tires on the original wheels with some of that extra money.

I don't think I'd have wanted the stuff back from my truck either if there was a potential of contamination. I can't imagine you had anything really personal in it that you can't replace. No?

The new truck looks awesome - enjoy!!

C'mon man, everyone has to mod on fentanyl at least once.

Is your truck automatic or manual?

Fender flares indicate it's a TRD OR, TRD Pro, or any model with added black fender flares. Using your logic, those wheels indicate an SR
