Yeah I think you're right, I don't think I remember a second plug in there. Well this should be interesting. And here I was thinking I wouldn't have to deal with that drivers boot again any time soon

 

there might be away around that. Maybe just take off the mirror and door panel where that first wire connect is, that leads to the main harnesses. I don’t know for sure how it will be done but that might be possible

Sorry if it's already been discussed - but will the switch in the MESO kit fit in the switches below the HVAC controls? I don't use Qi, BSM, or parking sensors anymore so I'd like to put it in that location since the ones by my left knee are full already.

In your picture, does the new puddle switch wire harness just connect to the Y splitter wire and the 2 white block connector piece?

 

For the switch it looks like it connects to the 2 white block connectors

 

So just take off the driver a pillar, plug in and drop down the switch harness to desired location, ground and plug it in. Best estimate 10-20 minutes depending where you run your switch.

 

Correct. Plugs right AFTER the main big T harness in the A pillar(and before the rest of the wiring down stream)
Run it over to the location of your choice, ground the black wire and pop it into place

P.S- the LENGTH of the switch harness is 5ft. Which should be more than enough to make it over to the lower center console, up overhead, or the left side panel.

I hope I’m wrong too, waiting to see @MESO input. I can get the @CaliRaisedLed switch panel delivered next day on Amazon, but I’m hesitant with the reviews on there people saying switches aren’t fitting it.

 

the caliraised raised uses large switches. Not the small puddle switch

 

Correct. Their middle panels(that go where the OEM cubby is) Accept TALL switches. The puddle switch only works for a SMALL switch hole.

 

Any convenient locations to ground the puddle switch if running it to the center button section? Maybe that’s answered in the install video, but it never hurts to ask here, lots of people with more experience doing this than me.

 

Radio mounting bracket? Just share the same mounting hole with the ground.

looks like the ground doesn’t need to be close to the switch so you can still ground behind the left side dash.

 

Does anyone make an adapter for large switch hole to a small switch?

 

Don't think that's gonna work. A small switch is WIDER than the tall ones. The front would be poking out and not be flush.
Here's a small switch in a large switch hole.(this is MY large switch hole.. and I think it's pretty close to an OEM tall hole)
