just read up on shark hide, i'm going to try that, won't be installing until next weekend anyway... sounds like people have good results with it on the bilsteins. we don't use as much road salt in colorado as the good ol midwest (grew up in iowa!) but i do think they are using a brine on the roads now sometimes... i FF the crap out of the frame every fall since i got the truck so i don't want my shocks to get all corroded

You should be fine. Never seen any Billies look like what the dude from Wisconsin posted here in Co. My uncles got a 1st Gen tundra, 300,000+ miles in Garfield County. His look fine. Also has done nothing to them maintenance-wise by adding FF or whatever sharkbite is.

that's good to hear, i've been extra vigilant when i got the taco new after having my old explorer basically rust out very quickly when living in the midwest!

"Unlike other anti-icing products used throughout the country, CDOT's brine mix contains a corrosion inhibitor, which helps prevent damage on both vehicles and infrastructure. Once snow begins to fall, or the temperature drops below freezing, crews will stop using the anti-icer and switch over to de-icers."
Read up on how we do things here. Gonna give you a better picture of corrosion in Co.

My rears showed up yesterday.. Popped em on after work. Haven’t driven it, fronts show up tomorrow according to tracking. I had the fronts assembled by Headstrong so I’m guessing that’s the difference in shipping dates.. Just the weight, feel and mass of them is superior to the stock OR stuff.. After this weekend I’ll be cleaning my 13k mile stock stuff and passing it on for sale.

Has anyone else had this corrosion issue? Really the first I’ve heard of it.

Thanks! I have decided I'm gonna order an AAL and install all of this when it arrives.

The wife has (somewhat reluctantly) signed off on this financial decision, so we're all good to go!

Wait until you see how beefy the 6112's are compared to stock and the 5160's

    A few.
Sounds about right. I purchased all 4 5100's from Headstrong a few months ago and the total was a little less than that.

The 6112s showed up today. Set at the 4 and 3 notch. Got em on and I’ll take it down tomorrow or Saturday for alignment. Instal was easy. I have an AAL but I don’t want to use it lol. The measurements say it’s level up front at 36 3/4 and the back hovering at 37 pass and 36 3/4 driver. I’ll see how it looks after alignment and decide on the rear leaf or not. I don’t really want a rear lift. I took it for a short drive. Feels good no vibrations or anything negative. Think it needs the leaf?

    Nice! Looks awesome.

I don't think you need the AAL, but hard to say for sure without a pic taken directly from the side looking at the drivers (or passenger) side profile.

How much lift did that setting get you for the fronts and did you measure after driving it around?

    What tire size ya running?

    Looks great!

EDIT: I see you a snuck another pic in there at the end. :D
