We had settled on getting a Hiker Offroad model, then discovered there was a 12 month lead time on them... Meh

Don't think he'll ever build another at this time. The future you never know. Those Overland/offroad trailers are popular. Just $$$$$$ from some companies.

This is why I was so stoked about the Hiker. Quality and price are nearly impossible to beat, but that also comes with a crazy long lead time.

    Link?
Why not one of these? Look at the specs. Chris has the Tiger Moth it's pretty sweet. But these are right up the Midsized truck alley

Oh I've seen those before they look pretty cool.
I linked the Mantis, and then there is one in between the tiger moth and mantis as well, not sure if it's got a sitter though.

Right, you did link the Mantis, and I have seen the Mantis for sale used on rvtrader from 30k-50k.

I like all of the Taxa models, but they are all really spendy.

There are some others like Sunset Park, Vintage Trailer Works, WeeRoll, and Wow Trailers that for a good price has the basics to get you started on your own build.

Holy smokes I didn't realize they were that much. Nevermind then skip that shit.

DIY is cool too that way you can spend and build as you have the funds.

Winnebago Micro Minnie 2100BH is another option. They are pricey, but well built compared to other campers.

that’s what we wanted to get, but have other shit to pay off right now.

    yeah for sure.

anything sub $20k is gonna be junk for the most part, sadly. We looked at dozens of campers back in the fall, but they all just felt so cheap and slapped together. I was shocked at how poorly some of them were built.

Incase you didn’t know, which I’m sure you do, you can raise that winch into place without taking your arb off. You can use 2 ratchet straps. That’s what I did.

I was gonna get some guys at work to help me lift into place... didn’t think about a ratchet strap. Great idea! Thanks! I think I’m gonna go with the XRC 9,500lb “waterproof” one.
