My mom texted me out of the blue yesterday to let me know she bought her dream car

Didn't lead to any other conversation after she was done showing it off

It only came up because they offered me the freezer that came with it, they want to remove it from the house before they show it to prospective renters tomorrow.

I mean, it's a good purchase. Where they live and apparently rent out now.... Its a solid investment. My dad has been wanting to have some properties. They're on the west side of WA near Seattle, so a good rental is always in high demand. I laughed when my mom said it's nicer than the one they live in.

How? I mean, in general, the shock has to attach to two places on the truck and needs whatever the right connection (eyelet, post, etc) is. Then it needs to be a particular length and range of compression and extension. I know there has got to be a shock that exists that meets my needs, even if the manufacturer doesn't explicitly make it for my application.

Cooking so I kind of forgot your initial post, but geometry and weight are two major differences between our first gen and later gens.

A lot of coilovers mount "in the same manner" so you could say...why don't we use Nissan Frontier coilovers for instance.

And I also know I'm going to do the u-bolt flip soon and believe I'll need to weld on a new shock perch so I guess I'll wait and get specific measurements after that

To add to my post and piggyback on Zane's question, you do have shock manufacturers that will customize their shock to your truck.

    Have to pay to play.

You give up some payload capacity if you do a ubolt flip.

Why not go Chevy leaf spring and do a shock relocation altogether if you want to stretch the rear?

I don't believe this is true

Unless you're talking about going spring under axle, in which case I still don't believe it's true but it's easier to see how you might think that
