ya no fucking shit its not
thought people were more friendly to step in and help out is all
the 'goodwill' of people you know what i mean
i would bend over backwards (within reason) for someone that needed assistance that i was able to provide
in which i most recently did for someone

so now i must figure out what savings i will need to withdraw and get my stupid truck fixed properly

it could be 4 or 5 thousand dollars at first estimate, depending on what i do exactly

I'm pretty sure that's just at the individual level, not specifically a 2nd/3rd gen thing.

You need no fixing of your truck.

Unless you're due for a timing belt and water pump, which in total seems to average about 600-700 with parts and labor, you're good to go.

idk anymore, it just seems a 2nd/3rd gen thing as there are basically NO active 1st gen Tacomas anywhere in my region, its a sad FACT
    or maybe just regional
but the feeling i get from posts around the region is just plain old BS from around here

the bullshit frame coating needs fixed properly and thoroughly as possible before it gets any worse! its at the surface peeling away now that i have found
there are still a number of places i have not thoroughly inspected up close

the 4.7 would be a tight fit.

the 5.7 would be ALOT OF CUTTING. i dont even think the frame is wide enough to mount it at a normal height

I'm going to order a different color. Think I'm going to try to put together an old school toyota green look. Not sure.

theres only one way you'll get that frame 100%. EVERYTHING has to come off and it needs to be acid dipped.

If @madmax700r can fit a 4BT in his truck, I'm sure you can mount a 5.7l in yours. Lol.

I think he got away with a body lift.

im going from green to white in the tundra. thinking amber to green in the Taco. im not a fan of white with white gauge faces.
might go to black faces and do white.. hmmm who knows

the labor rate to remove the stuff i need removed, depending if i goto toyota mechanic or body shop, body shop labor rate is much cheaper than mechanic
and then the storage time if i choose to not have a trailer haul it all back to my place for 2,3 or more weeks to get done whats needed
probably will need a towtruck since i don't think its wise to drive without a bed, will be going back most likely without a fuel tank attached but I have not even gotten to that point yet!
then haul it all back to the toyota shop to get it all reinstalled properly with absolute NO FUCK JOB, everything back in its place for another decade of happy motoring :)

the bulk of that guesstimate is the storage time of the bed taking up a lift in a bay for the several weeks it may take me
i would prefer to trailer the bed back so i can flip it over and do some minor fixing and proofing underneath easily
so it 'may be' less than the original guesstimate
    idk
