I'll sandblast your center caps when the times come. Would take me 5 minutes.

 

I do need to get the hub dial and body blasted on my extra manual hubs; don't think it'd be too hard on the plastic center caps though?

 

Ah gotcha.

Just pulled that part number after seeing it mentioned a few times on the 4runner forum.

I knew they were Hyper Silver per Toyota, didn't know someone else made "Hyper Silver" as well.

 

My horns are 50% plastic. I use a very heavy Aluminum Oxide media and it does nothing to harm it except remove the paint.

 

I need a vacation.

 

I haven't taken one since January of last year.

funny how it got power windows and locks..
but not mirrors!

 

i'm thinking maybe he didn't want chrome mirrors. or did they not come with chrome as a default - can't remember.

 

srunners had no chrome. according to the Vin in TIS it was power everything.
except mirrors.

you can see the block off plate on the driver door. the only other spot the switch fits is the center console, (that little cubby no one can figure out is for a mirror switch on trucks without power locks and windows). in both pictures i dont see a mirror switch

 

his description on the ad:

"Power everything : windows door locks and mirrors"

weird. Yeah I saw the blank where the switch/control should've been as well.

Very simple and basic wire harness, I see

 

It's not that crazy, it's just the year to year differences are driving me crazy. I'm ordering a brand new (like, brand new as in it's been sitting in a warehouse since the 80's brand new) 1987 harness to install in my 1986. The '86 harnesses are sold out, and all they have left are the 1987-1989 harnesses. So I have to make the 1987 harness work.

 

Oh like adapting mid gen changes in the harness in the taco type stuff. Yeah that sucks on any car too. That's kinda cool you found an old brand new harness sitting on a shelf. Like from an old service or oem parts department? Who has one of those laying around?

 

Some entreprenuers bought out all of the Nissan parts stock (as in ALL the Nissan parts stock from the 80's and 90's) after Nissan decided they didn't want to sell old parts anymore. Take a look at this website, it's pretty damn cool.
