Just spent a lot of time getting it lined up with masking tape. Cut it with a dremel and cleaned up the edge by adding a strip of edge trim along the whole thing.

I love them so far. I had duratracs before this and needed the snowflake rating for winter driving legally in Canada.
They're heavy, but they perform awesome so far, no complaints and very quiet.

Did you read the rest of this? The part where he was using the light, which is against the law in that state? The officer was just doing his job, because the opportunity was presented to him. Put blame where blame belongs.

He was KNOWINGLY violating the law and got caught. The LEO would have been negligent if he had not ticketed him.

Not so difficult but very tedious. Helps if you have small hands which I don't.
This is a great place to read up on it...

He could have, at his discretion, gave a warning. No sense it dropping a $240 ticket for a first offense. Officers do it all the time. People get warnings for all types of things. He simply could’ve informed of the rules and sent him on his way better informed.

you cant expect them to give you a warning every time no matter how reasonable the offense. (ive gotten my fair share of warnings and tickets for other offenses) off road Light covers are required in certain states.

You can decide to at like a grownup and deal with it and not blame the officer.

And just how do you know that it was a first offense? How do you know that the LEO wasn't cutting him a break?
What makes you think that we're privy to the whole story? Hmm?

This thread isn’t the place to debate the rights or wrongs, first offenses or seconds etc. Just stated an opinion like you did. No sense in turning this into one of the other stupid debates you guys get into about whose state is better. This is about our truck :sadviolin:

That's funny. YOU are the one who brought "first offense" up. Have a nice day.

Seems simple to me, break the law, get a ticket. IF you get a warning awesome. If not, well you knowingly broke the law, hoping you would get away with it. How is your decision the officers fault? Maybe it’s been an issue locally and the officers have been briefed to ticket all offenses for that violation at shift change? The cop doesn’t give enough tickets and now traffic violations are out of control and suddenly people blame them for unsafe driving conditions. Maybe expecting a warning makes you the dick, not the cop...

One of the few professions today where no matter what they do, they are being a dick and we blame them for everything. These dudes deal with way too much nonsense on a daily basis to be judged for giving a warning or not giving a warning. Just be happy it’s not one of the 2% bad ones that the media is so happy to plaster all over the tv, giving the impression they are all bad.

Same here in Northeast PA and getting cold overnight. The good news is that it looks like a dry weekend. I'm pretty much done with any substantive mods - think I'm going to re-space my Raptor lights when I get home this evening but that's a 15 minute job. I think I should finally set the pre-sets on my radio though.

After buying the bedrack and saving up for my RTT, no mods for awhile lol. SW Pa here, this winter has really sucked. Rather have constant snow cover than all this rain. The weather here cant decide what to do lol.

    Replace?

Hmmm. Still haven't customized the screen on my Tacos headset yet. Might be worth thinking about going and picking up a flash drive.
