Got a passenger side wheel bearing, and passenger side rotor replaced by dealer. They aligned it. Got it back pulls steady to the right. Next day. Got it aligned by firestone and rotated front tires to rear. Still pulls to the right.

I notice it straightens out when the brakes are applied. I read somewhere it could be brake drag. I’ll jack it up and spin the front wheels to see if I can feel a difference.

    1. Tech didn’t install bearing correctly and it’s dragging?
    2. New rotor is dragging on caliper? Left rotor has 60k
    3. Dealer missed a bent caliper carrier causing brake drag?

Will one dealer warranty another dealer’s work?

Best bet is to spin it in the air.

It's a press style bearing, there's room for error. The caliper can be dragging as well, but unlikely.

See how each wheel compares side to side.

Out of curiosity why only replaced 1 rotor? I thought rotors or pads for that matter were like shoes (On your feet)… as in you wouldn’t just replace 1 and not the other

Passenger (new bearing) turns about 3/4 turn while driver (old bearing) turns about 2 times.

my wheel lugs came loose on freeway. By the time I pulled over I sheared 5 of 6 studs off hub and damaged wheel rotor hub and bearing. Maybe something else as well. Check your lugs after taking wheels off. Apparently firestone will align vehicle but doesn’t check wheel lugs. Also they say they adjust psi but they don’t. Lol.

Pulled the wheel off and rotor doesn’t feel like it’s dragging from brake pads. Gonna pull the other side to compare.

Glad you can laugh at that, not sure I would be laughing if it happened to me. LOL!

Quick update. I’m thinking dealer just paint penned camber bolts and didn’t align it. Then firestone did a shitty alignment. Then dealer did a better alignment. Still not perfect. But I’ll live with it. It seems getting the numbers in the green doesn’t cut it. They need to adjust for road crown a tad.

You can always check toe with a fishing line and check camber with digital level. Just be sure to park on a flat & level surface while doing it.

I think I’m gonna learn to do it on my own. Took it to an alignment shop. They got it spot on. They just had a smaller margin of error. Where firestone has a +-1 deg on each side essentially allowing 3 deg difference between left and right camber these guys only allowed .25 deg.

Needless to say after 2 dealer and 3 firestone alignments. A single alignment from a dedicated alignment shop got me on the straights again.
