Tsb, aal ?

    Mine did. They may not re-install the AAL, as the center pin may be too short. Just get a longer center pin and install your self if this is the case.

    An AAL can be done by yourself, right? You don't need another "set of hands"? I haven't tackled the rear yet, but will do so this weekend and I'm not quite sure I'm gonna have help this time.

    Yeah. Just use a couple of "C" clamps to secure the spring pack before you remove the center bolt. Then, Use the "C" clamps to help get everything aligned. Take your time. Its not hard. :)

    I just ordered a custom made AAL for trucks with the TSB. Doug at ToyTec called Alcan and had a custom one made for a great price. I am going to test it out and if all goes well ToyTec might enter into a production run with Alcan. We'll see...hopefully I can get them on soon.

    Wish I would have know about the AAL not working with the TSB springs (unless you install them 'backwards') before I bought them...

    Well maybe a spring shop can cut them to fit or if TouTec launches the new AAL for Tacomas with the TSB you could exchange them? Just a thought. Don't forget the longer brake lines....

    Well, new stuff is coming out all the time. The only constant is change. But an AAL for trucks with the TSB would be a nice addition to the ToyTec line up.

    So I just got back from the dealer regarding the TSB on my truck. The service manager tells me that it will ride softer unloaded and that I will still be bottoming out when loaded down because the tsb only is for an empty ride.......

    Does this seem wrong to anyone else?

    I thought the purpose of the TSB is to stiffen the ride and allow the truck to be loaded more without bottoming out.

    They didn't have any issue that my truck already had an AAL installed and said they will install the AAl in the new TSB springs for me. At least I had asked for them to do that, and they said, "Shouldn't be a problem".

    Lets hope they are good on their word and don't throw it out the door with the old springs.

    Hey Alex you should be okay with stock shocks, you can always upgrade those later. Here is a link that I think will help you out a lot:

    Blocks offer no additional benefit other than height while an AAL will slightly firm up the rear of the truck with additional support to the leaf pack. They will also aid in load carrying thus are more functional/practical.
