Alright everybody I need some advice, I have a 96 tacoma that has a beat trans and a beat up body I cane across a deal on Facebook marketplace last night for another 96 tacoma that’s clean but has a blown 2.7 so I’m going to swap my 2.7 in it anyone ever do this before or is there any other threads I can check out? Also I’m throwing my 34/9/15 super swampers on it

Ahh I was going to say, very tough to fit 12's without angling or going way below the axles. I plan on lowering my bottom mounts a bit and hoping to get a slight longer than 10" shock in. Not sure I will ever fit 12's though, I am trying to stay as close to 1:1 as I can.

I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
Yeah they mount a tiny bit below the axle but not by much at all. Overall very happy with the shocks but not my springs as much. I have the Dakar 7 leaf pack with an overload removed as of now..going to take out the 3rd leaf from the top this weekend to see how it rides. Should have went with a more progressive pack initially

Thanks pardner, I paid $30 per wheel including tax and was super happy with the service and end result. I was pleased to find there are a few shops searching for "wheel machine shop" and these guys were pro all the way!!

Very sharp. Most toyota lexus caps are the same. Should be a 2 1/2 inch center cap. Ebay is the best place to buy them.

It's not that bad once you've pulled your engine. :cookiemonster:

Oh, and whatever you do, don't buy trailgear mounts.

If you saw the background, you'll see I have a 3rd gen 4runner for offroad adventure, and I recently got this little 2wd 5 speed simply for PURE FUN on the road!! Feels like a sports car compared to my lifted automatic 4runner..
    :burnrubber:

    Yes, you need BOTH!!

Isn’t it difficult to keep it 4WD and do an LS? Diff gets in the way or something
