FIFY I rarely see 6th around here with all the hills. I run the highway in 5th and it keeps the rpm's up near the usable power band for passing and I don't need to downshift as often for hills. In my truck 75-80 mph is 2500-2800 rpm is perfect cruising rpms without lugging the engine IMHO.

    Cool stuff
i feel like my truck settled down after the tune i did... should i redo the tune so it can erase whatever it was that it learned? or leave it be with what it learned?

our forced induction development is separate from 2.0

I could scrap map switching, but who knows what kind of back lash that may cause.

The MT crowd can handle it.

Please let us know what is best for you. Does switching and OLE make your life easier? How much of a PITA for you is switching? Would adding a poll help? Would it help you to backburner that for when you have some more time or maybe when another solution jumps out of the shittastic code?

From my knot hole, I can say that I'd rather have you look at the Rev Hang and 1st gear DFCO solutions than switching and OLE.

To be honest I would like to see OLE since I run 91 exclusively but in my travels it may not be available in all places. Not required though,I can live without OLE.

ETA Wish list/dream tune... Catless FOB/BFO 91 with max performance for fat boys running on 32" E ply with stock gears, minimal tip in (aggressive, responsive throttle) defco and rev hang resolved as best as possible.

I'm an AT so forgive my lurking...but the best performing tune I have had so far was OLE-based. If map switching isn't an option but I can keep OLE then I would be very happy. I only wanted OLE because I don't want to have to reflash when traveling.

Yeah. I’d put OLE higher on the list than tune switching.

Good stuff being posted around here.. Keep it up!

I will be another to shrug over map switching. If I wanted to play around, I'd rather flash.

This is my thought as well, however the map switching would really solve the my throttle is too hot my throttle is too cold scenarios.

Its true about the sandbox. I, personally, wouldn't mind waiting for map switching and getting 2.0 asap. (honestly id be happy without OLE or map switching if it meant i could have 2.0 minus those two features). I have been running only the base tune and while i do miss the torque of FOB i enjoy the fuel economy since i just have short commutes.

I could get behind that idea two maybe three choices for tip in and squeeze as much power as you can out of the first four gears and then put it on a diet for 5th and 6th

oh I'm talking about ATs. I think I've only ever had 1 or 2 MT folks say they didn't like the throttle.

I think the only one we really didn’t like was 1.03b. Pretty much all the others have been fine as far as I can remember

That's funny,I liked the throttle on 1.03B it got my truck rolling much easier than any other tune, the closest is the 1.05 BFO test tune that has been the best on my truck all around.

I could care less about map switching, for now. Perhaps that can be a project down the road. If all we have to do is download the files from your software, then wham bam, thank you mama. It is really no trouble to literally take 5 minutes to flash.

With that said, I can see a huge plus for map switching. Perhaps that could be a project for us MT guys down the road. Just a thought.
