That's a good way to ensure the $41 splash guard doesn't go to waste :).

Yeah I could see him gloating if he was riding 44's or something, not those Tim Horton's tires.

I guess since the tires are bigger than what's on his Dad's Skoda and his Mom's Yugo he figures they are huge.

Or he's been comparing them to my lightbar again. :notsure:

Someday he may have the tires to make it up the hill for a Calendar....

today is the first time i had seen someone get struck and thrown by a vehicle.
    :annoyed:

Remember as a pedestrian, look both ways before crossing the street.
This goes for the driver as well, look both ways before getting onto the street (number of people i had seen turning right but looking left is staggering)

    stay safe out there

Wow, that was crazy. She is lucky it did not roll over top of her.

1st time I saw something like this was when I was 10 or 11. I was standing on the sidewalk at a crosswalk, waiting for the crossing guard to stop traffic and let the group waiting cross the busy 4 lane street. I was 2nd in line as the traffic all came to a stop. The old man who was in front of me took 1 step forward, still on the sidewalk when I hear a car engine rev real loud, then he is up in the air directly in front of me. She hit him so hard he flew up and over the car, smashing the windshield and breaking his arm.

Some lady decided to use the sidewalk to pass all the stopped traffic because she had to get her kid home.

It made me much more cautious of crossing the road, and how thoughtless people can be. Head on a swivel.:goingcrazy:

what the actual frick, that's pretty messed up and definitely traumatizing to a 10 year old...

Reminds me of a news article from a few years back in the US about a woman driving onto a sidewalk to go around a stopped (and flashing) school bus. gets busted
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UTM40K53K8

As a court order; she had to wear an "idiot" sign

we need more of that because people might actually reflect on it after being publicly e̶m̶b̶a̶r̶r̶a̶s̶s̶e̶d̶ humiliated.

I got hit by some dirt bag driving a silver Monte Carlo. He was tearing out of a strip mall parking lot. I went right over the roof of the car. Once he saw me get up and start running at the car he took off. I ended up pretty bruised up but no real injuries. I was in high school at the time. It made me a lot more cautious of traffic.

Damn only bruises from going up and over. That is some good luck right there.
I remember seeing that video before :bananadead:

Traumatizing was what my brother witnessed in highschool :anonymous:

Him and his buddies were at his best friends cottage in the winter. They had 1 snow machine and 3 or 4 GT snow racers. They decided it was fun to attach the GT snow racers via a water ski rope to the back of the snow machine. They played like that for some time. He was riding backwards as the passenger on the snow machine, watching his best friend on the GT snow racer to alert the driver of any problems. The driver came to quickly and to close to the road, the guy on the GT snow racer could not stop and it went over the snow bank and he was struck by a car. My brother held his best friend while he died.

My brother was never the same after that event.

This reminds me of another incident I saw about 20 years ago. A kid got hit at a busy intersection on Halloween around 5 o'clock. I was a few cars back from the scene buy could see what was going. Traffic backed up pretty quick behind me. Well, some douche bag in a beat over pickup decided he was too important to wait in the line of traffic like the rest of us commoners while paramedics and police tended to the kid, so he hopped the curb and proceeded to drive down the sidewalk in an attempt to get around it. Needless to say, the police looked none too pleased when he arrived at the accident scene. I momentarily considered dialing 911 for another ambulance for the beat down it appeared the police were about to administer on him. Sadly the child they were attending died.

Good to know. Many of the border mailbox services don't take pallet shipments.
