After paying almost $6 for two trim clips at the dealership yesterday, I purchased this on Amazon and it was delivered today. I may never need ne, but if I do...it won't cost me $3. Total for the kit was under $15 with tax, delivered. If anyone needs a clip......

Just a part of getting to the point where you earn a seat on the porch, Carl. The old Brown Boot Army guys said the same about us Black Boot guys. :)

Awoke to an inch of snow here - shoveled the area in front of the garage where the sun doesn't hit...he rest gets to melt on its own. Not worth pulling the UTV out for an inch of snow and my ATV plow is down - have to replace some parts this weekend.

TGIF to those of us who still have to celebrate the end of the work week!!!

    Morning all !!
I was at best buy the other day and purchased a dash cam /w front and rear facing cameras. My truck will be going to Detroit this summer, also it's going to Colorado in the fall and also my oldest brother is "borrowing" it to go somewhere, down south I believe to purchase a truck. He'll tow the new to him home.
Anyway, in the plaza there used to be a gander outdoors that had a huge flag pole w/a 40' x 80' US flag.
Since they closed they took down the flag and pole...I was surprised to see it gone.
This is my bike at the base of the flag pole just for reference.0729190926-1.jpg

    Good Morning folks. :oldglory:
We had a Gander Mountain near us Harry, they weren't opened long enough to put a flag pole in . Closed after a couple of years.

Good morning, everyone!! Happy 3 Day Weekend!!

Lynn and I went out for dinner last night for Valentine's Day. Nice to get out on our own.

Sitting at 3deg F right now. If the winds stay down we'll be heading out in a few hours to crew a hot air balloon flight. Gonna be a cold one...but it's the first chase in the new Tacoma!

Good morning folks. Hope everyone had a nice Valentine day. Deb and I went out as well for dinner and found a nice little Italian restaurant that is much cheaper than several other Italian places on the Island. Food was good and a glass of wine was free for Valentines day.:D.
Hope it warms up for the balloon flight Mark. It wil be a cold one soaring over NE PA. Instead of champagne after the flight will you have coffee and hot chocolate?
Do nothing day here because it's raining and supposed to all day.:(.
    Have a good one all.

Not for me, but then since I stopped working Fridays ALL of them are 3 day weekends. :p
We went out Thursday night, assuming it wouldn't be a mob scene. It was. I guess a lot of folks had the same idea?
Cold weather is good ballooning weather. Have fun! Don't over-rev in your excitement to track it down. ;)

We're doing a family dinner over at the retirement place my folks live in. It was originally supposed to happen before Christmans, but someone got sick, then a week later someone else got sick, then another two weeks went by and yet another person got a bug, so we said the heck with it and turned it into a Valentine's bash. Getting ready to head out now.

It was a great flight - about 2 deg when we inflated. We got almost all of the other crew members into the basket to give them some flight time - Lynn and I chased in the Tacoma (we had an almost 1.5 hour flight last month so we wanted others to get up). It was our pilot's 120th consecutive month flying - unheard of here in the northeast with the weather patterns. A dedicated crew helps. :)

I was going through some photos and came across this one for @hikerduane.
    IMG_0054.jpg
This is our back country site at the base of Andrew's Glacier in Colorado. It was a great backpacking trip with the wife. But as we age the backpacking trips are becoming less frequent and day hikes more frequent.

Mark @Devious6 the hot air balloon trip and chase sounds like fun. We are tentatively planning a trip to Albuquerque NM next fall for their balloon festival, which is one of the largest in the southwest.

    Enjoy the day

    Cheers 4BYTOY

I have family in three cities in CO, but I still need to bp in the Rockies, have done a couple nights in Maroon Bells, pretty geology. Have bagged a night in many western states except Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Added Idaho and Washington last July.

The team we crew for is planning on going there in 2021 and we plan on heading out to crew for them since I'll be retired.

Flying in a balloon is awesome - quiet and peaceful. A few pictures from this morning.

@hikerduane Maroon Bells is in my opinion a beautiful area. If I remember correctly the backcountry campsites have been closed from time to time in the last few years due to bears.
