    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Finally finished banging out the Timing Belt / Water Pump / Valve Covers on @siznarf T4R.

Went back together nicely, and purrs like a kitten.

Not going to lie though... I did have a bit of an O shit moment when we went to start it up and it kept immediately dying. Then we realized one of the sensor connections wasn't clicked in all the way, and one of the coil packs had come unplugged... fixed that, and she fired right up.

Nice fricken truck you've got there Francis!

And also... The guy in the big brown truck came by and paid @RobertsT4R a visit.

Recieved new Upper Control Arms from Rock Auto (with 5% TW discount they came to just under $450 after shipping calculated)

They are Mevotech UCAs... but the good part is what you actually get inside the Mevotech box.

I’m in Chico, and will be headed to Moab 3-31. I know that’s a ways out, but if that’s the best you can find just PM me.

If you can do half distance I’ll be up at King’s Beach, Tahoe the 22nd if the weather is agreeable.

The 22nd of this month? If so I can definitely meet in Tahoe, that'd be great.

Any wildflowers coming up? Anything in bud or bloom?
Or did I misread and you actually mean that you are cooking at the wok site?

Not yet. Only thing my colleagues have started is for Dirca (leatherwood), but a perennial your probably not after. I was up there because I have a camera study supplementing Tiburon Paintbrush monitoring. Looking at herbvivory, trampling, and pig rooting. A lot of custom camera metrics, pretty interesting. To cage or not to cage is the question.

My colleagues have a large suite of surveys coming up this year. They will be regularly checking reference sites soon. If you got a list of species you are hunting for PM me. We also have alot of remote mitigation sites we own that I could likely get you access too. We just started a seed bank, so perhaps you grab a little extra for us :anonymous:.

In the photo you can see all the Lessingia.

Dirca is a rare plant but the seed has been collected, so will not qualify for my project. So has seed for the Castilleja affinis subsp. neglecta. There are a few Lessingia that are not yet in seed banks, but not sure which one you are looking at. If you are at Coyote Ridge, I assume that it is Lessingia micradenia var. glabrata (smooth lessingia).

My species list will be based on what I think that I can collect this year. However, there is a possibility to amend our list if species are available. If your colleagues survey some rare plants and want to know, then it wouldn't hurt to contact me. It'd be fun to come down to the Bay Area for some collecting as well. Most of my efforts will be around Knoxville area, just based upon access and ease of permitting.
