Where to buy Bilstein 6112/5160

There 265/70/17 and it shows 1.25 of lift. Itl Settle I’m sure. I didn’t drive it far enough to do anything. I drove down the end of the driveway to level ground and took a couple pics. I’ll get it aligned and give it a week or so to do its thing and then make decision on the leaf.

 

Really does look good. The picture of the stock Bilstein next to the 6112’s REALLY shows the difference in the thickness/build of the two shocks. Pretty substantial.

 

I'm super curious if it will settle down to about 1 inch by the time you get home from that alignment.

If you don't mind, keep us updated and post your alignment sheet.

That would help me decide where to set mine! I will probably install my parts next week.

Gonna take her off pavement again on Sunday, all stock. Might as well. Will have a better comparison vs stock after this upgrade, plus I don't wanna make a long drive without an alignment.

 

sounds good I will. I’m sure itl settle a hair... I didn’t want to go higher mainly cause I wanted to stick with 265/70/17 and not go 285s. I didn’t want to cut the cab mount or do an ecgs bushing or UCAs mess with driveline angles at this time.. That’s why I went 6112/5160 so that down there road when the “new” wears off of the truck or I need more out of it. I have the option of going up in notches and getting the uca/ecgs and going higher if wanted

The drop down can be misleading, select front AND rear on headstrong.



You’ll notice the numbers change to $384.99, it will still look weird in the cart though. But the change in price is your confirmation.

You were only going about an inch correct? Are you going to toss in the ecgs, or no considering it’s such a minor lift?

 

Yes 1in according to the chart. I’m showing 1.25 now, It will settle a tad I’m sure. No ecgs, I have the suspension in as of yesterday and it feels the same there’s no vibrations or any “new” weird feelings. It gets into the shop tomorrow at noon for an alignment..

This is the alignment sheet. Keep in mind it’s only 1in of lift upfront.. I have the firestone lifetime alignment. I’m not too hip on what all the numbers mean. I know what caster camber is and what toe is.. truck looks and drives fine at speeds up to 70. Tracks good drives straight no wandering. Let me know what you guys think

he mentioned the SAI not being a concern being off .2 on the left. Seemed weird to me but we will see. Can always take it back.

 

Disclaimer: I am not an alignment tech.

He probably could have gotten SAI within spec by pushing the lower control arm slightly forward (more caster), but then he'd have to adjust the caster on the other side to match, too. Plus he'd probably have to adjust camber on both sides as well once he started changing the caster...

So it looks like he basically fixed your toe settings and called it good since nearly everything else was still within good specs.

If you aren't having a problem with the steering returning to center or the vehicle tracking straight then it probably isn't a big deal.

 

Yea makes sense. I asked him how it went before I saw the sheet and he said he just fixed the toe. And that it was all still within spec from the lift. He pointed out the SAI and said that “the difference isn’t anything to be concerned about” and that it played little into any tire wear or part wear.. I didn’t argue and just said cool and drove off.. drive drives Killer and feels great on the road.. I’m happy with the choices and now I have to find something else to drain my wallet..
