    As a side note, look into what it would cost to get it vinyl wrapped. Definitely be cheaper if you can find the color in vinyl.

    IMO glass out is the only way to do a color change right, but some people are content with not doing this.

    I'm in Portland OR but Maaco just quoted me 480 to paint a Leer 180 long bed, so 500 pre sales tax should be plenty doable. Used to live in SB - pretty sure there's a Maaco in Ventura, and prices would probably be even cheaper out towards Oxnard.

    Yeah, but Maaco likely single stage prepped by some guy high as a kite on love that let six flies in the paint booth and forgot to turn on the fan

    Nothing wrong with single stage for a solid color. Anything metallic or that requires patterns or overlays, id do base/clear.
