Gotta make another set of motor mounts for a set of conveyors Ive been building for the last 3 weeks. Should be the final parts left that I have to make. So close to being done I can almost taste it. Gonna get these done then hurry up and wait for the drive pulleys to get in and the belt guy to get the conveyor belts made.

 

so roughly $100 for transport rental one way and then whenever i get the work completed $100 to haul back to shop if i feel i cannot lift that back on top and bolt everything back together properly with no fks

 

Was hoping for the 'just add water' method

 

but I came across something about disconnecting the drive shaft with using the Uhaul tow dolly

 

will my truck fit on the 6'x12' utility trailer
then i can rent the 15' truck instead of the pickup and not have to use tow dolly and disconnect drive shaft

 

Nah find a rad hose and start blowing. It will inflate in due time.

 

unless of course i need a new driveshaft from bad uJoints double cardan joints
then might as well just take the whole drive shaft off and get new one
idk

 

about 5 feet is still bare metal with reapplied FF protection
on the passenger side by the cat and to the back spring spot

 

Mkay, youve piqued my curiosity. Whats wrong with your truck that causes it to need towing?

 

can you drive a tacoma with no bed on the back for approximately 10 miles on city streets?
not sure i know the answer but with no weight i think perhaps not

 

Yes, just hook the tail lights back up and zip tie the plate somewhere it can be seen.

 

Always nice to finish a job. As one of the only guys in the shop who can weld well I get moved to the weld shop a lot when they get behind. So I've been joining metal for the past two weeks. It's nice practice to stay sharp, especially with the huge mig welders. Made this the other day

 

i thought it would just jump all around with no weight on the rear axle?

 

I've done at least 80mi like that. Took it to the carwash too blast the mud off my frame like that a few times before welding too.

6'12' utility trailer w/ramp plus 15' Uhaul truck = 64.90 for two trips , better than the $100, assuming truck will drive up ramp and fit on trailer

 

Thats an annoying joint to weld right there. Thankfully I dont do a lot of pipe.

Ill be spending a lot of time next week under the hood. Next job is big, annoying, and being rushed. Im not excited at all.

interesting, i was not really sure after seeing @m3bassman driving his around on video without a bed and looked like it was jumping all around
