That thing looks pretty crazy! I haven't seen it before, do you know what it is?

    upload_2020-2-11_18-29-16.jpg

Looks sorta like a Comanche. The Comanche was a really cool project and would have been a great addition had the army not made so many unrealistic demands forcing.... Boeing?... Lockheed Martin?... To scrap the project. One of their demands was it had to carry enough fuel for transatlantic flight. That's impossible.

They can do barrel rolls and they can loop.

Yeah that's about all I can do right now so that's what I'm trying to do. Hard staying distracted lately though.

I'm not sure I should have played more attention. It was some new one that was supposed to replace the others.

This is EXACTLY why I do my own work.

Let's see if you can spot all the fuck-ups in the following pictures...

    B36DB4E6-3B2D-4F10-B5D0-00C58C387321.jpg 98E5C490-C6B1-4996-AC85-E3421F95F0D1.jpg B5BDF858-8CB1-43C4-9C5D-FCE2E406BD2C.jpg 84A31E6A-1E97-4CBD-84FB-A6191BAD613F.jpg

Those pictures is hard to tell so I'll give you guys a freebie. The hydraulic line for the slave rubs the exhaust bracket, lays on the catalytic converter, then rubs the O2 sensor wires.

That's the roof, figure that shit out.

This is the text I sent the owner

I'd like to resolve some issues I'm having.

The inspection plate should have been reinstalled. If this were a street only vehicle, maybe, MAYBE, I'd let that slide but it's obvious this truck is no street queen. This is just asking for a premature failure or catastrophic failure on a trail.

The old slave just needed to be removed and the plate reinstalled. I pulled the slave, the bolts that hold it in place should be at the shop because I do not have them anymore.

The bleed hose can't just hang out to bounce off the driveshaft or, worse, get slack in it and backslide into the clutch. I thought it was pretty obvious it needed to be secured both inside and outside of the bell housing. When I started to bring it up, someone asked if I knew what parts I had. That was beyond obnoxious and condescending. It was downright insulting. I do not want an apology.

Whoever installed the dust cover destroyed the o-ring when they HAMMERED the dust cover in. It should easily slide in with two fingers. Can't say I'm not concerned about everything else if they felt the need to use a hammer on a simple plug. You wouldn't use an axe to slice bread, right? The o-ring must be replaced in order to reinstall the plug.

The hydraulic hose to the new slave is routed completely unsafely. It rubs against the catalytic converter which will cook the clutch fluid, and it rubs the O2 sensor. It will rub the shielding on the wires, this is a fire hazard or, at the very least, will force me to replace another expensive O2 sensor prematurely.

I've got no clue what happened to the passenger side exhaust bracket.

I've found numerous wire brackets without the wire harness reattached. The wires were just left to hang and rub on anything and everything, including the downpipe. Again, this is both unsafe and careless.

The interior. Who took 3 of my lidocaine patches? I had 4 in my center console. I have one now. Those are by prescription for my broken ribs. I thought they didn't remove the center console, why did anyone go through it? Do I need to make sure nothing else is missing?

All this and I've been under my truck for 20 minutes. What is wrong that I cannot see? I want to support small business, especially a Marine's business. This is not the Marine Corps standard I was taught. Pictures to follow.

Haha you're the 1st one on here to make the connection, yup I sure am. Was a major Tool head in my early 20s, still listen to them now but not as religiously as I used to. The username has stuck with me for a long time though.

Not a huge fan of the new album to be honest, I do like a couple of the songs, especially the title track, but overall it doesn't do for me what their albums Lateralus and Aenima do.

So was I through my teens and 20's. I love Aenima, Lateralus, and 10,000 days. Jambi and The Patient being two of my favorites.

I agree, new album sounded good, but just didn't resonate like their precious work. Not complaining, glad they put out something but I'm not crazy about it.

Thanks dude. I just got a text back from the owner saying to bring it back Monday or Tuesday and they'll take a look at it. The stealership said they would look at it but they'd have to charge the $1189 they would normally charge for a TOB job plus whatever extra time they use at the regular rate.

I'd love to take you up on the offer. Now that I'm off worker's comp I only have time available during the week. And I have to hustle at work to beat back the bills again.

    :/
