Have had v2's in both trucks and currently still have v2 white amber and 2 v3's - 1 in console and one in glove box in the 08 RC. Also have v3 in my Mazda glove box and in wife's RAV4 glove box. All work great and only on 2nd set of cr2032s in like 5 or 6 years or whenever these first came out. Gifted the silver v2 from previous truck to my buddy and that one is still going too. Nothin but good to say about these........

 

We have seen only a small number of adhesive "failures" but certainly appreciate the feedback. Additionally, IF your adhesive needs replacement, just let us know. We tried to find the "stickiest" 3M we could without it being a permanent adhesive. We feared damage if removed.

 

Currently, we are down to about (14) V1 units and about (50) V2Ws... Just letting you know.

 

V3 is great for nearly any application! Perhaps I'll order another one of the V3 for a pending Military M416 trailer camp kitchen build....

Thank for taking the time talking with me last night fixing the V2W. Considering cost of shipping and labor, it might just be cheaper to replace. Do you have a V2W Primary: Red, Secondary: White, Halo: Red or Amber?

We do our best to deliver our products well below what most people feel they are actually worth. That said, sometimes, forces beyond our control (shipping) determine price. We are working on other products in the background - with a little luck, we'll get something new to the market this year.

@flyzeye designs Just ordered on your site. a V2 amber/white for 2008 tacoma. I was wondering if I might change out the colors as I didn't realize there was a custom option for the V2 if that's still available ?
I also ordered a V3 blue for the console box. thanks! Hope you received it well.?

Not sure why you can't add to the cart, but pricing is not wrong. It was adjusted due to shipping costs.

 

just curious can anyone comment on whether the application works best on one dash kit vs the other- Installing new head unit and wondered if the product would adhere better to the smooth Scosche dash kit vs the Textured Metra dash kit ? any thoughts or opinions- i'm a newb admittedly with these things! thanks guys and looking forward to this amazing product. I was telling Dennis that I was looking for something like this for so long and here it was right in front of me on TacomaWorld for many years and for some how I didn't see it. just shows how big our great community is! Just so im understanding correctly, yall are getting rid of old stock for a new design?

 

We're not 'getting rid of...' so much as moving on to newer ideas - although the V1 and V2W designs are pretty solid, they are now costing more to produce than the market seems to be willing to pay for them. We are hoping to rebuild / reintroduce ourselves - what exactly that entails, we don't yet know. Just know that we're not done just yet.

 

Thanks Dennis, I received my unit in the mail yesterday in perfect packaging. Guys you need to give this company a look these guys are fantastic. I had a question about installation of the V2W under my dash. I've recently had a new head unit installed and was looking at a video and pics where you guys make the indention cut into the plastic. I was wondering is that on the surface of the mounting dash kit or is that part of the OEM plastic that I just cant' see for some reason ? it's hard for me to see if I have something else b/c my dash kit seems to be taking up a good portion of the bottom surface. I have the Scosche kit and god it has such a drastic lower lip with sharp edge I took off my HVAC controls and couldn't really tell where i'd be cutting into. sending a pic of my dash as installed to get ideas. It goes in mounted already with the side brackets to the head unit so I can't take it off by itself like u can with the metra one. i'd attempt changing it but gosh i've had awful luck getting those wires back behind it again and wouldn't wanna mess up the install job. Thanks in advance. I can take better pics when I’m back in my truck but for now this is all I had on phone.

 

Without actually seeing the after market piece, it's difficult to answer accurately... That said, the critical points for OEM installation are the distance from the passenger side (we use a business card) to locate the power lead notch. You need to allow the power lead free access thru the backside of the HVAC control panel. Putting it into words isn't exactly easy. Apologies.
