I watched that documentary a couple weeks ago, was very interesting learning about the families and how old the distilleries are. Now if only I liked scotch...

It does pretty good we have etched and cut a lot of both of them. Yes we can control the cutting depth a couple of ways. 1 the power and speed of the laser itself and secondly by doing multiple shallow passes.

 

Not sure if you saw the trouble with the LEDs I am having here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/whiskey-cabinet-doors.652118/ or not, but I thought maybe some etched lexan lit with the LEDs might be a better idea.

 

I've got 2 bottles of MM46 coming from one of the Air Force attack squadrons I work with celebrating a milestone. I think the bought an entire cask and had custom labels made.

PM sent. I like it a lot, however I found the longer it's open the flavor on the palate changes (not for the better). I know some people never taste changes in their liquor after it's opened (positive or negative), but I definitely do. So if I were to get another bottle it would be all I drink until it was gone. YMMV.

 

30th came out in 2018 . I don't know why they leave it on their site like that. It is tasty stuff .

W.T.F. are you drinking? I'm currently enjoying some Madeira finished Lagavulin 8 year old.

All this Booker's talk... I almost forgot that I picked up a 2019-03 while traveling last weekend. I tore into it pretty good while at the deer lease... hence why I nearly forgot about it! Of the half dozen or so batches I've tried, I'm not really feeling 2019-03.

 

What are the opinions on Stagg Jr? My regular store has a couple bottles for ~$70 but I'm not sure if that is reasonable or not given their oddball pricing.

 

Retail is 50 bucks, but given its rarity around me I'd pay 70 for sure. You remember what proof they were? Certain batches I'd pay more for than others.
