What? I can't hear you from inside my air conditioned office :D

Hardest part was not getting lost in the rings and corridors of the Pentagon on my way to the Starbucks. :pccoffee:

Ha! That explains everything! Bureaucrats can't be Kings. #facts

I did several months in the Pentagon as a consultant. That place was just nuts. Hated every second of it, but mostly because my gig involved dealing with a lot their USDI-level budget folks... bunch of f'n weasels. Honestly wish I had never seen behind that particular curtain.

Personally I wear spandex underneath with baggy shorts on top. Wisks away sweat and to the other comments, the shorts are baggy but not to the point of catching on the saddle.

Its more comfortable when riding road. Its annoying to have loose clothes flapping and hanging around when you're riding in the hunched/road bike position. Plus it does wick sweat away better, which is nice.

I remember that one. Pretty funny.

The TIFU where the guy eats like 6x the recommended dose of gingersnap edibles is the best though. Tears in my eyes.

I have been about every infantry there is. Airborne, light, mech. And I have never seen or been told to wear panty hose. Lol. That is crazy. You guys are killing me. Maybe it was before my time.

read something not to long ago about guys wearing pantyhose in vietnam...wading around in so much water they could pull the panty hose down when they got out and it would remove all the leeches

Men being uncomfortable with Lycra/Spandex is just amusing... I mean, why? What, are they afraid of being heckled for skipping leg day, worried about "the package" showing? Get over whatever mental discomfort is there... it's damn comfortable, moves with you so your junk stays behind the chamois pad, wicks sweat away from the skin, so it helps with cooling, and compression clothing aids in reducing muscle fatigue. Shaving has a practical benefit; it aids with cleaning the skin and applying bandages in the event of a crash at speed. Look at road racing and you're packing all the racers in, shoulder to shoulder, at speeds averaging over 20mph for long periods and through city streets with curves, roundabouts, etc... crashes will happen and when they do, having a bunch of hair on the leg, soaked with sweat, dirt, bacteria, etc... not so great for preventing infection. I typically don't start shaving until racing season begins, then stop around October when it ends.

Some of it is pure conformity to the norm of the group... I would say the same argument applies to why so many recreational mountain bikers wear baggies and loose clothing. It's just to feel like part of the group. Do some Google image searches though on MTB World Cup and National races and you're going to see tighter fitting clothing that still allows freedom of movement. Maybe not fully Lycra tight, but they aren't wearing full baggies either and I guarantee they are wearing a lycra short or bib underneath, as well as a compression base layer to wick sweat away.

From my avatar photo... yeehaw, shaved and wearing Lycra... :crapstorm:

I don't worry about it. If women can walk around with their boobs and cleavage all over the place, why can't my bulge be all up in your face??
