I know it was late last night when I posted but I’m failing to understand your helpful post

 

Alright @MESO , I got my rage against the machine tickets out of the way for today, now I can focus 100% back on the stealth knob drop.

 

Just for the sake of bandwidth and servers crashing I think you should release the DIY kits now

OK, see if this helps.

1) MESO appreciates their customers, maintains outstanding customer service, and repeat customers is a win-win.
2) If a customer bought a now outdated version of a product, the customer might be left with a deflated sense that they were lesser off because their version is now considered lesser (or miss-functions). And they might want the newer improved version for its new and improved features.
3) A financial incentive for a customer to purchase the same (albeit newer designed) product promotes good-will between MESO and the customer (promotes repeat business). If there were no financial incentive the customer would be less likely to purchase the updated product, after all they all ready have a version. And the customer might feel slighted because of all this. The financial incentive promotes an additional sale for MESO (MESO makes $) as well as an updated product for the customer, another win-win.

MESO has all of this figured out. MESO is an outlier in my experience in the new-project-development-manufacturing-and-sales game. They are outstanding.

Um...has anyone ever seen Tim Cook and Stew in the same room at the same time?

 

No way MESO could be Tim Cook. MESO likes his customers and cares about making a product that works and looks good that you can customize/tinker. If he comes out with a newer version, your existing version doesn't mysteriously deteriorate, forcing you to buy the new version. MESO makes products in red. No integrated siri either which means no privacy issues. Therefore, MESO > Apple.
