    Just the basics
Wonder if Vagabond would be able to mount jack mount plates similar to FWC. It would probably be an easy weld. It would make quick work for easy installation/removal.

Nope, I'm not interested in removing the Drifter! Just the internal buildout. That said, I have wondered about camper jacks, or maybe a hoist to my garage rafters...

Here's an initial wiring diagram. Anyone have any constructive critiques? PDF attached if you need it to be larger. Large portions of this system are removable...

How easy do you want removal to be? My build is held to the bed with three bolts on each side, two to the track system and one to the bottom of the bed. It's very sturdy and I can still remove it in about ten minutes.

That's about what I'm thinking. Not "quick-release" or anything - just a few bolts per side, and I'll be building the cabinets as light as possible. Considering making the panels (that slot into the 80/20 "skeleton") out of layers of coroplast and aluminum - light and tough. Tops will need to be 3/4" ply or something, of course - want to be able to sit/stand on them. But the panels aren't really structural, so they needn't be heavy!

I'm thinking all the items in the large grey rectangle in the diagram above - controller, battery, breakers, monitor - would be hard-mounted to an aluminum box or something - hit three disconnects, lift the box out, away you go. Fridge comes out, cabinets come out. 10-15 minutes and your truck is ready for Home Depot duty.

I haven’t done it yet since my shop isn’t built yet but I think you could easily adapt a set of camper jacks slip underneath the edges of the drifter like on some FWC models and done. No need to mount them permanently, drop it onto a box frame on castors.

Phil told me a while ago he was working on an adapter using their track system so you can attach jacks for easy removal similar to FWC.

I don't drive my truck much. Maybe once a week. My cheapo battery is actually giving out as we speak. Wonder if it's because I don't drive the truck enough? It is a 3 year old battery though.
I'm going to pick up @belloinsella's stock battery tonight/tomorrow and see how much life I can get out of that while I plan for my battery upgrades.

Looks like this is a vagabond thread, so apologies for being off topic.

    Thanks

Just get a solar maintainer, they're like 20-30 bucks on Amazon.

Update: While inquiring about my build, Phil said they are working on the jack attachments to test out in the coming month.

I'll try and get you some info on the spacers I made for mine. I just haven't installed them yet since I'm on month 12 and still no final confirmation on my Drifter :annoyed:

I think it came out to 3 washers (per bolt) that matched the height of the ridges in the bed.

Essentially, from top down its the baseplate, washers, then truck bed. That way when you fasten the bolt, the washers prevent the baseplate to warp because in that area because the bed isn’t sitting directly on the bed because of the ridges.

Similarly, the baseplate doesn’t sit directly on the bed right near the tailgate, so I doubled up on the baseplate in that small section

@MJonaGS32 so you have a total of 4 bolts holding the plate down? Looks like the rear two, the middle two and then you have bed stiffeners in the front

That’s correct. And the oem bed bolts are long enough to account for the thickness of the 1/2” birch baseplate, so you can reuse those

Heads up in case anyone plans to use the rear (tailgate) bed bolts through the baseplate, those two bed bolts are NOT long enough, at least on 3rd gens.
