I originally had an 2006 Tacoma 4dr 4x4 auto, but just moved up to an 2009 dc 4x4 6sp with 27000 miles. Now that I'm able to take advantage TSB's I'm starting to think of all the things I need to have done.
    1- Rear spring
    2- Radio replaced
3- The off road rims are pitting(they claim it's the northeast salt?)bullshit!
    4- the clutch/throw-out bearing issue

There might be more I'm missing but that is an awful lot to have done for me to be satisfied with my truck! The crazy part is Toyota service guys always find something else to blame it on. I'm scared to go over 36000 mile mark only to find another TSB and I'm sh*t out of luck!

Are you having problems with all 4 of those things?? Or just concerned about them? Just because therer is a TSB doesn't mean YOUR truck has a problem.

Lots of folks say that T/O bearing thing is a 20K miles issue- but I didn't have it...and I'm getting close to another 20K and still don't

No, good point but here's the thing, say down the line 5 years or so I buy a camper or want to load my truck up with stone and I bottom out. Now the truck needs the TSB done but because I'm out of the 36000 mile mark, I'm toast, it's my cost now for my truck to work like a truck. As for the rims yes they are starting and the clutch is making noises as for now the dealer greased it? I guess the radio is a well known problem.
Point is this is an 09' not the 1st or 2nd year these things should have been addressed, which I now see they haven't and by no means is this a cheap truck (price wise)!

I have never heard of the radio problem.. thanks for making me paranoid.

If you're buying a camper you'll be need helper springs anyway. I used to work at an RV dealer.

Heck, even a cap will make it sag in the back.

I got a good deal on the truck considering it's a 6sp, By the sounds of these TSB's a lot of us should be concerned. I didn't do my homework as I should have so I guess as a customer it's my fault. Like I said they will take care of these up to the 36000 but after that your on your own.
Just kind of letting you know how I feel(hence the rant).
    Thanks

    1- Rear spring - get a lift
2- Radio replaced - after-market radios are better anyway
3- The off road rims are pitting(they claim it's the northeast salt?)bullshit! after-market wheels look better anyway
4- the clutch/throw-out bearing issue - shoulda got an auto

    hope this helps:D

    Rear spring TSB is must.

The others are hit and miss...probably won't affect you and if they are at 35500 recheck everything...some dealers also goodwill out of coverage shit.
