3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
Lake Erie shore is a good ride!

Going after my M1 before the end of the month. Trying to trade my Suzuki RM-Z 250 for a DR-Z 400. I don’t care to go 300km/h, but I am right tired of loading bikes and gear for half hour to drive 10 mins down the road to start a trail ride for an hour. Treating it as a trail pre-runner, and gas sipper. Hopefully cutting an hour of BS out of ride preparation/cleanup will allow me to get out more often. Fingers crossed.

Check out the Ontario Dual Sport Club website at odsc.on.ca . Usually a few DRZ400's for sale there.

I've got 2 street plate Honda XR650R's . One is my trail bike and the other is my adventure touring bike.

Does this tie into the frame at more than just the 6 crash bar studs?

    Thanks Bud!
I’ve been directed there in the past, but I have no cash to spend. Got my Rmz on kijiji to trade for DRZ or similar bike.

Heading out Ptbo way tomorrow to buy a XR600R in pieces, but that’ll likely be a flipper. Unless I test drive it and like it too much.

    Mostly stock for now...
Wow! One lucky pedestrian - that's crazy - I remember years ago "Look both ways before you cross the street" being pounded into our heads before we were allowed to escape from the backyard and play in traffic... :annoyed: - of course that was before cell phones, ipods and walkmen... but I might be dating my self...

+ they add 2 more gr8 bolts and a stack of washers to add more connection points to the crash bar area.

You know how they say in the instructions about disassembling your center brace etc to install the winch...

Install the winch in the bumper first.forget playing with the hood latch and center brace.

I have a milk crate with wheels on it, but you can do the same thing with a milk crate sitting on some wood to slide the whole thing onto the crash bar mtg bolts.

I stacked 2x4 pieces to get the right height and angle, and held onto the bar and pushed and tilted then pushed it into place.

No effort and super easy even by yourself.

I also put some electrical tape around the edge of it when I did the install, to save scratching the facia and it easily peels off after....

When I took that bumper off to install the winch it took about 30 mins from opening the hood to having the bumper out, winch installed and assembly reinstalled.

I installed my relay pack near my battery, still have to make a decent bracket to mount it to the rad support though.

I've got rooms booked now in Smooth Rock Falls for Feb 27 and 29th. And rooms booked in Attawapiskat for the 28th. Smooth Rock Falls is about 900 km north of London. Thats where the fun starts. Attawapiskat is about 600 km north of that by mostly ice and winter roads on the shore of James Bay. I've got a couple others coming along so far. Room for a couple more !
