That's one thing I didn't draw in, as I was mainly focused on the switches and splitters, but yes, I plan on running relays for the lighting.

Received both of my puddle light switches today.
Thanks for the note. The reason I ordered two switch kits is I have two Tacos, both with your puddle lights.
Oh and I just ordered two Pro Shift knobs with ECT switch.
It has been a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I have the ect shift knob I was going to put the switch where the oem ect switch was located. Is there a ground in that area? Additionally, what’s the best way to route the wiring to the a pillar from there? Thanks ahead of time.

there is 5ft of wire so you can ground behind the left side dash.
Just under steering column and behind hvac control, down behind the radio

Is the new switch supposed to light up at all or have any back lighting? I just installed mine and everything seems to be working but I thought the switch was supposed to have some blue back lighting.

If you have the FIRST ORIGINAL puddle kits, the T harness in the A pillar did not have the illumination tap. I revised it right after for all kits going forward to include it. Easy way to tell; if the 4 wires coming off the main T are All BLACK(first version), if they are colored(red, green, yellow, black) it has the illumination. Not a big deal, the black wire coming off the back of the new puddle switch just has to tap to any illumination wire. PM me and I can help you. Here’s a pic showing the current harness with te colors

I really want need to do this as well but I have never dealt with automotive relays and am kinda scared haha.

I have been kinda chicken with my truck electrical projects and kept to easy ways that have low chance of hurting things.

I’m still not 100% on how the relays need to be wired and what the numbers mean on the back of them.... guess I need to sit down with google for awhile.

Has anyone installed any accessory switches to the factory switch panel that’s located just below the radio / ac controls of the center console? Mine has a couple blank spots I think I can use for the puddle light switch.. if ya follow what I’m saying. (There appears to be a couple blank switch spots) that I could possibly “punch out” and use. Any good videos, or step by step on doing this out there?

Thanks for the instant response! I always seem to have some sort of minor issue or question and you always immediately have an answer and that's something I really appreciate!

I did get the puddles when they first dropped and everything is buttoned back up at the moment, but I'm positive my wires coming off of that harness are all black. I'll send you a PM, thanks again!
