Take your time and use lots of RTV. If you are in a dusty or snowy/icy environment we suggest using 3m Protective film under the bulb seal on the front fairing. Keeps the clear coat pristine

Anything I can do to level out my cab rack with my cap rack? My cap rack sits about a quarter of an inch higher

Well... Victory rack went on this evening. So stoked how it looks and the process wasn't too bad..I would've mounted piece by piece on the roof itself..
Wow!!!!! What's up with the thumping on the roof?? I had to drive 25 miles home with the most horrendous sound. Any ideas? Everything was tight and plumb.. Big time bummer

Make sure the fairings are against the roof (with the weatherstripping of course) as I've said before, you can use some 3M paint protective film between the rubber seal and the paint for some extra clear coat protection.

Ya you need to make sure that fairing is tight to the roof. I was actually pleasantly surprised how quiet mine is. I only start to hear any wind noise at around 70mph with the radio turned off and even then it’s really not bad at all. If the radio is on or I’m talking I don’t even notice it.

Thanks all!! With the left over weather strip I put on the back and lowered... Worked like a charm! Absolutely love it! The only thing I'd do different would be put it together on the roof.. didn't see the advantage of doing it on the ground. IMG_20200209_142516917.jpg IMG_20200209_142551326.jpg

Victory users. How are you cutting or notching the black weather stripping (not sure of the Toyota technical term) or are you not using them?

So you just cut them and then 3m them back on around the brackets?

On my victory roof rack i cut the molding and used it but only at the front by windshield, left off the center top between the brackets. Looks great from front and rear.

Used side cutters, but razor knife would work also.

I’m in the market and now leaning towards the Victory rack. I like their “L” shaped steel mounting brackets. It appears stronger design compared to the Prinsu. The roof rack bars are also powder coated, not anodized.

Victory 4x4 has 10% off now. I snagged a set a couple days ago.

I like the steel brackets and that really sold me.
