Selling a Leer 100XQ (thats top of the line) cap in MGM grey for a long bed (6ft bed). Cap has tracks installed for a roof rack. Also a custom storage/lighting solution inside the roof built with redwood and finished. Cap has the shell liner, frameless side windows with screens, and sliding and removable rear window (for cleaning) and a lock to prevent less persistent thieves. The cap is used so there are minor scratches (one bigger on top which nobody will see) overall in great shape.

$1600 ($2400+tax new without custom shelves)

Also selling together or separately the Prinsu Toprack mounted on it. Has 7 crossbars and 6 feet mounting. Perfect for surf boards, kayaks, etc as well as mounting almost anything. Skip the lead time and the expensive shipping to HI. Again its used so small dings in some of the powder coat from mounting things but still overall in great shape.

How far out do those side windows pop out? Fit a 2nd gen??

 

They only pop out 1.5 inches not a whole lot. Thats the compromise for sweet looking frameless windows. On the plus side there is still some air flow for camping etc. The back has a slider window as well for more airflow.

I wasnt sure about fitment for a 2nd gen so i researched it for you and this sounds like a solid post. Short answer is yes but maybe it wouldnt look as good since the body lines match a 3rd gen

I believe that you will find that the bed dimensions on both the 2nd and 3rd GEN trucks are both identical, however...the 3rd GEN tailgates are have much more curvature than the 2nd GEN. You could put a 3rd GEN canopy on a 2nd GEN truck and the canopy would fit fine, but the liftgate won't close tightly in the center and would look pretty weird. You could change the lift gate to a 2nd GEN version and you'd be golden..but you'll find that it would be cost prohibitive. Keep looking for the correct GEN canopy, used, and pretty soon you'll find what you need.

Tell them to inquire about the 2nd gen Tacoma running boards. They bolt right up. Possibly the 4runner boards might bolt up also. There's a set on CL for $150 in Kailua.
