    That is my question, as far as I know my Etunes does nothing and is setup to do nothing

    Same. I just CarPlay all the time so I only see it when I start the truck and tap the CarPlay button.

    Mines been doing this (unable to actually apply the update) since probably the second week I had my truck. I’ve been meaning to schedule an appt but really didn’t want to go to the dealer for a damn radio update. Tried deleting personal data option and so far it seems like it worked perfectly! Thanks for the tip.

    Agreed! Thanks for posting that! I deleted all the personal data and it worked! I did have to re-link my Bluetooth and reset my radio stations, but better than that message every start up!!

    I seen the update in the app section last night and updated it. Only took about 10 seconds. Other than fixing my transmission shift points, making my audio sound like a million bucks and adding what feels like 50hp, not sure what else is included. In other words, anyone have any idea what the update was for?

    I got it for my 2020. Updated a few days ago without problems. I haven't paired my phone with the car yet - have just plugged in to use Apple Car Play. I'm not sure I want to pair it based on some of the radio issues some people seem to be having related to contacts.

    In the past, most Entune updates just removed apps that Toyota decided not to license any more. On the 2020 head unit though, there ARE no apps, so I'm sure this update just fixed something with the firmware or the like. I see no difference in options or functionality on mine.

    Does Toyota normally do this? Where they push an update and don't have any notes or comments of why? Seems like an odd scheme.

    God Bless your soul for finding this fix! I’ve been getting the same request for updating for a couple weeks now. I update it and the message comes back..... UNTIL NOW!!!! I deleted my personal data, the prompt requested the update, I updated/installed, and BOOM! Seems to be fixed! My OCD and I thank you from the bottom of our heart !!!!!
