i went back to a stock shifter also. not because of any twin stick issues. my case had some cracks in it from rtv getting into bolt holes and blowing out the side of the case when bolts screwed in. decided i didnt need twin stick on the new case since i have a crawl box which gives me 2lo anyways. plus didnt want to open up the case and also didnt want to deal with leaky shifters

Anybody using the RST harness? If so, how are you routing the harness from the inside of the truck to the Front ADD?
    Thanks!

Right, but there is also a wire harness you can buy that is a direct plug to the ADD.

I didn’t intentionally. RST use to just sell an inexpensive pre made matching wire extension with their switch. I ordered that over a year ago but it never shipped out. When I reached out to request they send it they had stopped making the self wire version and were only selling the complete plug in harness so that’s what I got with my switch....

yeah I’d just cut it off and wire under the dash. That harness would be useful if you had a prerunner, but if the stock plug is down at the ADD then I’d just wire it behind the dashboard.

I’m sure he stopped making it because he wasn’t making enough money from the short harness. 170 is a rip off for a $20 switch and maybe $20 worth of wire and connectors.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
I have the RST premade switch and will be bringing it in through the firewall behind the gauges so it can use an empty slot next to my dog light switch. It’s already loomed and clean to pull through.

I am running the RST harness. I ran the wire through the normal large grommet on the driver side. I had to unplug all the leads from the switch though to get them through the grommet. Just mark the wires where they were and reattached them inside the cab. Good Luck.

    Complete!ish...

It was a long process but I'm finally buttoning it up. Gonna change the location of the TC knob further back, but it functions and doesnt look bad. I just want it perfect. I need to finish the shift boot too.

I did the TC swap, add delete, and 4.88 gears all at the sale time so my truck was in shambles for weeks.

    Anyway here you go.

Kept the J shift pattern on the single stick. Looks like stock.

They should have come from the factory like this.

I just ordered twin sticks and a swith from RST, I might not be doing my add delete and run a switch. Wyatt was nice enough when I told him I'm not trying to blow money on a temp set up since my goal is SAS to spend $200 on a harness and he said he will send me the wiring diagram to wire it at the computer.

Good luck... not just on getting your twin sticks from him after you paid but also for getting anything "extra" he might mention helping you out with. I'm still waiting on the rest of the stuff I either paid for or was "promised" multiple times while waiting for my main order.

June of last year. But I have moved past waiting for him to deliver and finished my install without the other pieces from him. Just either sourced on my own, made my own or went without.

I’m pretty sure the V6 manual has a different input sine count than the auto. There is a write up somewhere on how to swap the input shaft.

Did you get his twin stick? I dont like anything else out there so I hope I get at least the twin stick! The switch was $20. Are you running a add delete? He mentioned that the FJ case is not intended for all time use like in all time all wheel drive so the T case can go out.. its best to run with locking/ unlocking hubs
