Hey fellas I just figured I would introduce myself and tell you all about my project I'm starting. First off I bought a totaled 2007 double cab Tacoma that needs a bunch of work because it was rolled. I live in Hayden and have been collecting parts to get this thing up and running. My plan is to make a very capable hunting rig as well as a fun rig to beat around the woods in. I'll try to take a couple of pictures of my project if anyone wants to see. Have a great day and post some pics so I can live through them for the time being. Thanks Barney

Thanks guys, I just got some bodywork knocked out on the cab today and hopefully I'll get it partially in primer tomorrow.

I got the cab straightened out some and the a pillar smoothed out and in primer. Hopefully I'll have the the cab in primer in the next couple of weekends. Then onto dropping a new to me engine to make it run.

FYI someone is selling a brand new SSO slimline on FB Marketplace in Post Falls for $700. It’s powder coated with bull bar.

That's a good deal for the SSO. I am looking at the Victory 4x4 bumpers front and rear.

I really like the new SSO high clearance end caps that go on the slimline. But I've got wheels and tires on the brain so I need to hold off on any other big purchases for a while.

That Victory bumper looks sweet. It looks heavier duty than a hybrid but not quite as overkill as some of the other plate bumpers. Kinda like the ADD Honey badger but with some style to it.

Yep. I prefer the subtle look since I won't be doing rock crawling.
I pulled a Dodge 3500 Crew cab diesel out of the snow a few weeks ago coming down from Schweitzer. He honestly admitted he was screwing around when no one else was around. kind of a funny picture with a Taco rescuing a full size. But I imagine that people driving trucks typically don't carry recover gear. I had everything on board to pull him out. You would think one of the mall crawlers going by would have had something!

I scored that alu pelfreybilt that was for sale in san diego. Got my pops to pick it up, now it's in PHX. One day I'll have it up here, but trying to plan it out... Like which winch? Is 4WP gonna have some good deals coming up?

Looks like this is the most active Spokane thread...

I'm new to Tacomas and new to TacomaWorld. Dropping by to say hello. Looking for a good place to learn and practice. Goal is to do two legs of the WABDR this summer. Have a good one!

    Thanks fellas.

Reading through the thread you guys are all seem pretty helpful.

Looking to head to the 7 Mile ORV park this weekend to get familiarized with the truck’s capabilities. Is there a map of trails anywhere?
