Top plate spacer??

I have OME 885 coils woth top plate spacer. My truck still sits low in the front because of my add a leaf. I was wondering if I got a slightly bigger top plate spacer would this fix my problem and level it out or possible make a little bit higher in the front??? Input anyone

 

yes a larger top plate spacer will lift the front end more. why dont u get 5100's and then they are adjustable.

 

THe bigger the top plate spacer you put in there...the more chances you have of wearing/breaking balljoints, etc.

Lots of information on the forum about top plate spacers and why they're not necessarily a good idea. Small ones ....1/4" thick (1/2" lift) are generally OK....

 

It's not recommended to preload OME springs with 5100's. They were designed for stock springs.

 

What about the ToyTec coils for the 5100's? Thinking about adding them!

 

What height AAL did you get for the rear? I have 885's with the top plate spacer and 5100's set at O' and 2" AAL's and my truck sits perfectly level.

 

Are you talking about the adjustable coilovers? Good choice, but you still shouldn't set the 5100's at a preload setting. Keep them at 0" and crank the coilovers to achieve the lift.

If you just mean the coil springs, i think the ones Toytec sells in the kit are eibachs? (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), and the max you should set the 5100's at with the eibachs is 0.85".

 

I have the top plate spacer but was wondering if i got a little bit bigger top plate spacer would this fix my problem. Like a 1/2 inch bigger spacer or maybe even smaller?
