Yeah its pretty safe to say mine was pretty rust free before it was coated. Not like Roanoke Virginia had a lot of bad winters either. But the rear axle and other parts that werent sprayed looked pretty rough when I got it. Although now nobody could ever tell it was even rusty. :)

Funny how my dads 08 looked fine from the outside of the frame and even his axle looked dang near new. All the rust was on the inside frame rails around the welds and by the cats. I just picked a weld and started chipping till the hammer fell through.

I wasnt about to put that gross thing in my truck haha. Those dirt spots were pretty much etched into the plastic. I just might get it fixed and keep it now that it looks new.

I know, it's just flaky paint and surface rust. Believe me I hit it all with a hammer before I claimed it as my own.

funny. people get offended when i hammer test their trucks i look at..
and low and behold they all need frames.

i almost bought a silverado to flip. an 09. guy wanted a bit too much for a truck with a bad trans. so i went under and checked. sure enough. it needed a frame

I don't think those steps look bad, look way better than predator steps or whatever the 3rd gens get. Steps get a bad rap on TW but they have their place. Just nowhere near a vehicle that goes off pavement lol

    You serious clark?

They hung down so freaking low it looked like I installed a 3" lift once I removed them. Why a low to the ground mini truck needs nerf bars is beyond me. They look good on full sizes, but Tacos cant pull them off imo.

everyone at work keeps telling me i need steps on my tundra. i tell em im getting sliders and they look at me like im crazy. hell half them dont know what sliders are

im thinking kickouts and filler plate for my tundra sliders. because fuck it why not (And if i get a roof rack on the cap it'd help alot with getting shit up there having kickouts)

I just mean as far as steps go, for people that need/want them they look better than the ones that try and look too cool (predator steps and whatever that other brand is)

Brute Force fab makes great stuff from what I've seen, couple friends of mine out here with 2nd gens have their bumpers and its probably my favorite design.
