Anyone know if Mobtown Offroad is still actually a 16 week lead time for rock sliders? I'd like to order a set of sliders, but get them before summer.... I'm not too worried about actually sliding on rocks, but it's a possibility. More for trees, stumps, basalt rubbing in tight areas, car doors, and a hippies Prius broadsiding me in a roundabout because their too stupid to figure it out....

Seriously? I'm typing on a tablet, and it's early yet. I'm curious about rock sliders, not a veiled attempt at correcting my engrish. Besides, that's why I have editors to catch that stuff when I'm actually trying to type....

It’s funny because you called someone stupid while simultaneously having a grammatical error. Lighten up Francis.

It is at 16 weeks, but there’s currently a 15% off sale. Use code taxman2020. If you’re not ready to buy yet, they offer a 10% military discount year round.

if you want them super tight to the body and not like steps, go for 15 or 20 degrees on them.

most claim to be drill-free installations... and some actually are!

Actually, I did also attempt humor in my response, if you read it correctly. The "Francis" reference was funny though. I just don't like grammar nazis on forums. When I'm awake, I actually make a living writing. I just don't live on forums, thus a low post count. I wasn't watching my grammar in here because it's early, and I came in here looking for sliders, not an English lesson.... Take that for what it's worth... So, if you want to keep this up and hijack a thread, by all means.... I'd like to learn about rock sliders though....

You're still talking about this. Look, it's early yet, and I don't have too much of a sense of humor this early. You should not expect everyone to have one. I am on plenty of forums, and one can have tact. Yes, I called many of the drivers around me stupid because they can't properly use a roundabout. It's not ironic that I made a typo. It's a veiled attempt at being condescending, otherwise, why bother calling someone out for their Grammer and punctuation. Don't use your need to correct others (while disguising it as humor) to turn it around on me. If you want to crack a joke, do so then. You don't need to correct others, humor or not.

Thanks for the heads up. I do appreciate it. THERE'RE very generous to offer a discount like that. . :DPlus, for offering a military discount, that's awesome. I like their sliders, and should have pulled the trigger a few months ago. I'll probably keep shopping though, as 16 weeks is just too long of a lead time. I'm sure there are other equally as good shops with a shorter time.

Naaa, I just don't like grammar nazis in forums, especially at the ass crack of dawn. It's not a good way to welcome new people. Plus, my sense of humor won't turn on for at least another hour or two....

wait a minute, I'm not the one who started this crap. Tell that to the people who feel the need to correct the new guy on his grammar first thing in the morning. It's rude, and saying it's funny doesn't change that. It rubbed me the wrong way. If he would have answered the question and not taken it upon himself to correct my grammar, then we would be talking about sliders.

The top plates on the Mobtown Offroad sliders looks nice. I'm looking for something like that to help aid as a step. I can use bedlineron that part to add traction. There was a company who had the top plate removable, I just don't remember who. It looked cool, as one can use regular paint on the slider and bedliner on the top plate. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

If you’re looking for more as a step, look at the mobtown overlander sliders since they’re built flat, and are a more standard duty slider. Less expensive and ship UPS ground to your door, vs shipping freight on a pallet like their heavy duty ones.

Man, those sure do look nice. They seem to have a solid rep too. 16 weeks is just too far out there for me. I'm sure they make a stellar product, but the wait time kills it for me. The state recently put in several roundabouts near me. People don't seem to be able to drive, as common sense isn't required around here. I've had a couple of very close encounters. So, I'd really like to speed up the process of getting them on my truck.

Anyone know of C4 Fabrications? Their sliders are the ones with the bolt on plates, from what I'm finding.

Pay attention Paragrunt. Don’t be a person who in order to make an obviously sarcastic point to grammar nazis overcompensates a correction only to unintentionally end the sentence with the word “that.”

And here we were trying to move past this, at a mods request. But you feel the need to put in your .02 cents. You don't know me, I don't know you, and you could be a 6'8 giant with a 10th degree blackbelt. Being old taught me a little tact. One thing I know of forums, the people who go out of their way to correct others on a digital platform, would never have the intestinal fortitude to do it in person. So, I guess that's why so many find forums attractive, when it comes to screwing with others......

And by the way, ending a sentence with the word "that" is perfectly fine in a non-formal setting such as a group forum.

Before a mod comes back in here to correct me for sticking up for myself, let's talk about Tacoma sliders, shall we?
